Hi seoulmate and everybody else, haven't posted in a while, but wanted to respond to this 'cause I think I have synesthesia-I've always "seen" music, letters, numbers in color, moods and feelings also. I can totally relate to everything written in the link you've posted, except that I don't think of it as something weird in the slightest-to me, it's something beautiful:-) To answer your question, it depends on the song, but generally speaking, when I listen to FYE the album, it's like all colors of the rainbow to me, like a big, warm, happy explosion of the color spectrum in my mind. I don't know how to describe it better. I love it:-) WOW!!! "... a big, warm, happy explosion of the color spectrum..." OMG, I love this!!! So happy you popped in with this, musicgirl!! No, never weird... just totally fascinating. In fact, I've always been kind of jealous of synesthesia peeps who listen to music and see colors! I've seen a couple of documentaries on the subject, and I've never heard any synesthetes complaining about their "condition." It's all good, unless you're like hoppers and "taste" industrial chemicals!

OT, but this reminds me of peeps who have synesthesia... Any synesthetes here on Atop? I've often wondered what people with synesthesia "see" while listening to Adam music!! hubpages.com/hub/whatissynesthesiaCan't answer that question --- but there are many reports about autistic children who pay attention to very little or no music EXCEPT Adam. I was seated next to a severely autistic young women at a GNT concert -- she has no response to the opening act -- Allison Iraheta -- but when Adam started to sing, she was engaged and her face was filled with emotional responses. When he stop singing, she retreated back into her own world. Also at Nokia NY (#2 I think) there was a large group of hearing impaired students with a couple women signing the entire concert. I later learned that most of these kids were total deaf but honestly they were just as entranced as everyone else by Adam. The "spell" he casts involved more than his voice. (Duh! like we never noticed anything else!) There are the only two times when Adam was on stage that I paid a lot of attention to how someone else was responding to the performance. Not sure what it means. But reading some of the comments on Sleepwaker video makes me believe that this DVD has successfully captured a bit of the magic of Adam live. My DD's BF has this .. I'll ask .. hopefully she'll remember .. maybe have him write it down or something..I think his brother also.. they never realized no one else saw colors LOL.. both play guitar and have bands. running back to catch up. *waving* ETA.. didn't get far.. I see we have someone here to see's the colors too..

Proof that something is changing in America. In my adopted hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi -- the local cable channel was forced to remove all the cable channels that were perceived as promoting a "homosexual lifestyle". That included MSNBC, Bravo, and LOGO. Now, LOGO is available on our local cable. BUT (and there is often a bit but) ---- it is secretly available. You have to learn about it in a Gay Chatroom. The channel guide does not list it by name and all the programs are listed as "to be announced". So it is a secret cable channel -- too funny. I hope you're right. I think you are, but then I read things like this:
I don't have a link as it is taken from an article that appeared in the local paper several days ago & is no longer on line. I'm super excited about the possibility of Adam going to the Oscars but I have to ask - Why would he be going??Btw - I can't read a thing typed in yellow. Can anyone else? Q3 comment: People who have changed to one of the dark skins and personalized their Adamtopia pages can see the yellow. Most people use the white/light skins (like the default) and they cannot read yellow type.

@cutiepi300 Holy shit!!! my aunt knows someone who knows The Blonds!! GUYS! They're making his outfit for the Oscars!oh, let's hope this is true. Note to self: Okay, aloha, get a grip. It's one tweet. And, of course, EVERYTHING we see on Twitter is an absolute fact! : *hoping Twitter is correct on this one - please let it be!* Me too.. But, why would he be going to the Oscars? I may be totally out of the loop here.. but, maybe Presenting? Otherwise?

I think I first got fascinated by synethesia 25-30 years ago when I read Midnight's Children by Salmon Rushdie!! It was a novel full of magic realism, and I'm sure he had characters smelling colors and tasting shapes and all kinds of magical things. Dayum, I'm FEELING JEALOUS of musicgirl's happy explosion of rainbows when she listens to FYE!!!

I may be totally out of the loop here.. but, maybe Presenting? Otherwise? The Twitternalysis so far is this: • OMG!! Squeee!! But WHY? • Terrance is performing, but would he have a custom-made Blonds outfit to go sit in audience??? • Could it be something else? (Presenting/performing?) • Doubtful - Oscars are ABC and he is NOT on the official (though not necessarily complete) list • Maybe it's completely fabricated? • IDK, let's wait an see So the Twitter consensus is a VERY guarded Hmmm, would be exciting, but far-fetched and most are still looking it as random rumor, but staying tuned for further developments.

Btw - I can't read a thing typed in yellow. Can anyone else? Yellow is practically invisible on the "standard" background, but looks really cool if you've installed one of the dark skins on your profile. Its a minor but occaionally frustrating problem that occurs when different members of a forum are allowed to have different background options. However, if you "select" the text w/ your mouse, its usually readable. Ok - back to work for me or we'll never be ready for tomorrow's invasion of the extended family!!
