I don't know if this qualifies as "news", so if needed - I'll move this post to the Masterclass thread and if quoting is not allowed on this board - i'll delete the quotes and leave the links. But given lack of any news now, I think this is interesting. I spent a couple of hours reading the DDD Technical thread. :-[: yes... That's the one where ( if you remember) BB was placed as #2 after Jackie Wilson a while ago... I went through about 100 pages :-[: they argued a lot, but I found it very interesting. Guess what: - BB is now #1! Until they reshuffle again of course.... there was quite a "fight" going on for many pages....anyway, not to waste my effort I copied the "best" posts re BB. Here they are: Nica!!!! Thanks for bringing that over. This is awesome!!! Folks, this ranking is done by mainly guys who are SERIOUSLY into rock vocals, and distain pop, fluff, and media hype. They will debate for days about the merits of two obscure singers in order to determine if they should be 52 and 53, or vice versa. They consider rock singers since the 60s. (Their #2 singer, Wilson, is 60s and 70s I think). For Adam to top this list is significant, not as a media source or anything --- they are a forum just like we are. But, they have great cred. And, most are not Adam FANS. They do not care about what he wears, what he looks like, who he is dating, or what he said in any interview (except about singing and recordings). Try to post something like that on their forum and you get slapped down hard. This list is only about pure vocal technique in rock singers. Glad to see them finally, if a bit reluctantly, acknowledge Adam's abilities to the fullest. Tho' I was happy he was always included in the top 5. |

Pleased that Adam is back to #1 on DDD -- where he belongs.
