So one thing I've been wondering about and I'm not sure how to articulate is the intersection between prescheduled promo and the shifting dates on the album and single launch up until recently. It looks to my uneducated eye like some of the articles and TV spots (all the way back to Behind the Music) that fans having been eating up in the last few months might be artifacts planned around earlier tentative drop dates for new music. Even the RS and EW articles, were they originally intended to correspond with a Nov. single drop? Were the interviews done in the summer? I'm assuming that now that things seem like they are solidifying (knock on wood), there will be a whole new round of promo lined up. But I wonder about the larger impact/effectiveness of these earlier "stranded" promos. RCAEd said that there wasn't a significant sales bump from the Behind the Music airing for example, although there was a little one. For the core fandom they are manna from heaven of course, and they do keep Adam on the larger radar. Is there a strong likelihood that some of these print magazines (Out, Rolling Stone, EW) will write about him again closer to the actual drops? I want to have my cake of all these delicious bits now and also be able to eat it again when the album and single drop, lol

Hits Predicts from MJ: Daughtry – Break the Spell – 140-150k * James Durbin – Memories of a Beautiful Disaster – 20-25k *Billboard predicts Daughtry to sell 120K I just read those #'s for Daughtry and I must say, I am surprised. Supposedly Daughtry has a bigger fan base than Adam, than what #'s can we realistically expect? ??? Yeah but if the album sucks then ppl won't buy it.....I think a big fanbase can only help so much. In the end you need the music to be good and current and radio friendly so casual fans will buy. Hopefully Adam kept this in mind. I'm pretty sure he did since he collaborated with a lot of top pop hit makers. He's no fool. Frankly I'm surprised Daughtry sold that well considering his singles haven't set the world on fire....And ya gotta figure in the whole fact that albums just aren't selling that well unless you are Adele. Oh, and rock is pretty much dead. In the end it comes down to whether or not his first single is a success and gets a lot of radio support. I'm hopeful it will. If it sells well it will drive album sales for casual fans....who knows, we may even get two singles like Katy P before the album drops....all depends on the music and radio support imo. And the promo--don't forget the promo. DMG is a monster and hopefully they will work their asses off to get Adam the promo they got Katy. I'm not ready to doom and gloom yet and it's exhausting to see the ppl who already are. Not here specifically....other places. It's like...dude. CHILL. Let's wait for the music to begin to freak out.

THIS...IS...AWESOME!!!!!!!!And the absolute best part is that - even if someone were to buy it (you know some people will, even if as a well intentioned gift) its AUTOMATIC ADVERTISING for the *** REAL*** album. This is so perfect I can't help from squeeing. Heck, even the language used is the perfect blend of factual and push. Kudos Kudos Kudos for whoever thought of it. Gotta find those leftover label stickers I have lying around! ETA: BTW if anyone is worried about "getting into trouble" just use the "Easy Peel" stickers. As far as I'm concerned, if an object can come off without damaging the initial packaging, you can't be accused of "defacing" the product. [evil grin] Of course the sticker might reappear the next day, but that a different issue!!

OK Now I'm getting depressed, just chatting w/my incognito Adam fan, and she predicts sales to fall around 50,0000! WHAT????? that is ridiculous! I'm shooting for at least 100,000. Unrealistic? Hope not Does that person have a track record of accurate predictions? If not, I don't see the point in getting stressed over some random prediction. If it means anything, Adam has almost 934,000 more Twitter followers than Daughtry. I suppose it doesn't mean anything, but it seems as if it should! Why would anyone follow Adam on Twitter but not buy his album?

Oh, and BTW, if anyone isn't aware, most stickers come in packs designed for laser printers. Just enter the code for the sticker manufactuer into Microsoft Word in the "label/envelope" section. Write out the text ONCE. Copy and paste into all the blocks. Hit "Print". Practice first on regular paper before running the sticker sheet through to make sure your alignment is correct.
Will usually make about 30 stickers/page. ;D

Adam Lambert’s Red Carpet Fashion Evolution [PHOTOS]
I think that I can safely state that Adam Lambert is a fan of black. Adam has some serious fashion sense. From his ever evolving haircut to the black clothing, Adam always hits the red carpet in style. Link: socialitelife.com/adam-lamberts-red-carpet-fashion-evolution-photos-11-2011Wow, flipping through these pics, I'm thinking how lucky we are to stan someone who is always changing it up with fashion, even though he leans heavy towards the black end of the spectrum. Still love the GLAAD, Grammy, and 2011 AI Finale looks best, I think.
