Well I screwed up the about quote from adamme. Like I say, I thought Daughtry has a bigger fan base than Adam, are we setting our expectations in sales too high. I'm nervous now. I so want him to sell as large as Adele. A girl can dream can't she? Well, IMO, this is Daughtry's what, 5th ? album and they all seem to sound the same, if Adam puts out 5 similar albums maybe his numbers will drop off too (#notgonnahappen) and did anyone think Durbs was going to have a huge opening ? Not sure what his opening numbers have to do with Adam : 8-)

Whoever the person is who predicted 50K for the first week's sales of Trespassing is smoking something. Or they were forecast sales for some country other than the US. Or they are a troll having fun. Cause it is based on nothing.
I understand is some diehard James Durbin fans are angsting right now. His debut album good not-so-good reviews, his single didn't sell or get any meaningful airplay and his album is tracking to sell 20-25K units in the first week.
But all the buzz about Trespassing from the people who have heard say it is great. This are not Adam fans, these are industry folk who are not partisan. But even with that, I wouldn't make a real forecast.
Finally, Daughtry, Cook and Durbin all put out generic light alt-rock albums -- of different sorts. They have nothing in common with Adam.

I have been preparing food all day : for Thanksgiving and just been popping in periodically but I had to run to Target and naturally, since I was there, I had to go see if the bastard CD was there. It wasn't!! Yay!! I looked in Pop/Rock and New Releases...Nada!! ;D There were a couple of FYE Cd's in Adam's spot and that was it. Maybe they won't get it in but if they do I'll have to do a little 'house cleaning' and move things around a bit. I'm thinking about making this my new avi (if no body else has it) but could someone help me get the right size and dimensions? I'm not good at that kind of stuff. :-[ Thanks.

I'd guess that the majority of the 1.3 million people following Adam on twitter will buy his album as soon as it is available. I don't understand why they'd follow him if they weren't great fans of his music. And the most true fans (like we) will buy many of them and give to our friends, who haven't discovered Adam yet.

THIS...IS...AWESOME!!!!!!!!And the absolute best part is that - even if someone were to buy it (you know some people will, even if as a well intentioned gift) its AUTOMATIC ADVERTISING for the *** REAL*** album. This is so perfect I can't help from squeeing. Heck, even the language used is the perfect blend of factual and push. Kudos Kudos Kudos for whoever thought of it. Gotta find those leftover label stickers I have lying around! ETA: BTW if anyone is worried about "getting into trouble" just use the "Easy Peel" stickers. As far as I'm concerned, if an object can come off without damaging the initial packaging, you can't be accused of "defacing" the product. [evil grin] Of course the sticker might reappear the next day, but that a different issue!! This is also very good information and ANTIPROMOTION and we should have this pic on Adamtopia every day on for a while, don't you think?

Well you gotta take into account that not ALL his followers are fans. Some are twitter accounts that are bots, news twitters or companies...etc etc. I'd assume the majority are...but I wouldn't assume he would sell the exact amount of albums as the number of his followers.
