I disagree with the poster that makes it sound like it's either Gelly or nothing at all. That isn't what anybody is saying.
Nobody is saying Gelly shouldn't post or share.
Shit stirring IMO.

We are just debating on how to share and post. Like you mentioned in your earlier post. We as fans sometimes undermine Adam and sometimes do things which doesn't benefit Adam in the long run. And I'm certainly not disregarding everything Gelly does for the fandom. She is however not the only one who posts news. Most of what she shares is also posted by the magazine or party that Adam did things with. I always try to find the original source and retweet and or quote tweet that. It's only in rare occasions that I can't find that. Posting videos in your own tweet or posting screen caps of a whole article makes fans lazy though and I'm pretty sure that for plenty of fans Gelly is their only source. Which gives her a responsibility as well. Over the years I've gathered almost 1,000 followers as well. I'm aware that people use me as a source of news and of course my numbers. So I try to do that in a way that I believe helps Adam the most. Not to get more followers or views on my posts.

Sorry, Pi . . . My message went into yours . . . don't know how to fix. No worries.. but fyi, if this happens you can click on the BBCode tab at the bottom. You'll see that everything in the previous post is before [/quote], delete what you want, then make sure to post after [/quote]. That will take your post out of the box. Then to see what it looks like, just click on Preview.

I also think that's important to RT the original source, especially if it's a publication or news/entertainment source. It shows interest in Adam, which might translate into more exposure for him.

Let me play a devil’s advocate for a moment, or may be its a legit argument:
the very existence of fan sites aside from the official Adam site or his fan club represent a “lost opportunity” for “Adam” as a business. this site is an excellent example. Every click, post, view this site gets is something the Adam official site does not.
you see where this is leading. Tbh, at the beginning, back in 2009 - 2011, I tried to be active on adamofficial, just to help generate some traffic there, but the site was not attractive for many reasons. And here we are, 11 years later still having a discussion if it is worth joining his “official fan club”. I wonder why.
just look at the richness of collected data here, on Atop, or on the mmadamaiamadamm ‘s site ! Wouldn’t it have been better had we all been congregating on an official site? I am sure there are several more active places out there that idk about.
all that “lost” user Info!

Q3, thanks for the thorough and clear overview of the whole issue of available fan info. The lines are kind of blurry sometimes. I hope Adam is able to control his own fame and his own privacy to his best benefit. And you're right to remind us that his management uses data from the fan site, too.
Love seeing Brian again, esp. with lovely Anita. I hope his "setbacks" are temporary and will improve soon. We NEED him healthy and strong and ready to rock!
I took the plunge this afternoon and contacted Wonderful Union, the help link on the Adam Fan Club site. I explained my issues and they responded quickly, saying they would get back to me with assistance in 24-48 hours. Ok, I can wait. I just hope they can get me registered once and for all!
