Eventually Adam's friend piped in. Made me wonder if he was co-writing the musical with Adam.. *a little side note first - Rhys is a friend of Adam Lenson, the first person who started the "debate", and in his thread he refers to Adam Lenson as "Adam" and calls him his friend. He doesn't say he is Adam Lambert's friend or connected to writing a musical with him. I think that may have been confusing for you, but it is clear from his exchanges with Adam Lenson that the two are friends.* Yeah, I saw these exchanges, and these are my thoughts -- I don't think that Lenson has a problem specifically with Adam Lambert. He is probably frustrated because he thinks a lot of pop stars come into musical theatre as outsiders and are given opportunities because of their big sounding names, and he clearly knows nothing about Adam or this musical so he is projecting his own frustrations onto this. It won't help trying to change his mind. He is the type of person who has convinced himself he's right. His own friend (that other guy, Rhys) gently and politely tried to explain to him why he was wrong, but his replies to that thread just show him repeating the same thing over and over again. He may have a point about some pop stars who are totally unconnected to musical theatre and who come in and are handed things, but we all here know that this is not the case with Adam Lambert. Yes, you're probably right.. I understood from reading their threads that Rhys had worked with and was a friend of Lenson, but thought that he was referring to Adam because he mentioned Adam's theater background in the following tweet as if he knew him personally. I agree, Lenson seems pretty closed off to any other perspective than his own narrow one. There's always a first time whenever you're starting out in a new direction, whatever the profession.

Lenson's comments make no sense. Using his logic, a carpenter shouldn't play the piano, or a math teacher shouldn't paint landscape paintings, or an accountant shouldn't do singing gigs on the side. Anyone should have the chance to prove their talents at something. The best creativity often comes from people outside the realm of a certain skill.
And as for Adam, he has worked in theater for quite a while, both upfront as a performer and behind the scenes helping create sets and costumes, etc. He's certainly worthy of trying his hand at creating a musical.
And if Lenson thinks "pop stars" are often given special treatment for opportunities, well, join the club. Famous people get all sorts of "ins" due to their fame and fortune. It's just a fact of life. I hope the collaborative project that Adam is working on becomes successful. In the meantime, he is getting valuable experience and is working with others who are recognizing his talent talent. All good.

Wow! Their new music is soooo amazing!! It's as if the music and voice were made for each other and who would have ever thought that quality of sound could come from a concert!!! Adam's sound and diction make it sooo easy to understand every syllable and I do have to say, that music is unbelievable!! What an amazing, symbiotic relationship!! Freddie wrote music that will last through the ages and Adam's gorgeous voice has truly brought it back to life!! I've listened and listened and can't get seem to get enough!! I've literally been waiting for 9 years and the wait was worth it! This exceptional team will surely make history!! I'm So proud of these amazing gentlemen!! (I really feel as if they're family. 😂😂😂 !!! -- I love them that much!!)

There are always frustrated gatekeepers out there. My guess is Adam, the pop and rock star, did not need this guys permission to get an opportunity to help write a musical. Obviously those with a say thought Adam has something to offer. Just like he did not need his permission to go for some acting opportunities on Glee, RHPS, Playmobil, Moonbase and Netflix. Adam works hard and is successful so yes he might get a look where others will not. A lot of stars are put in musicals or movies based on their name recognition. But when people are using their money, or securing the financing, they are going to want to do what they need to do to make it hopefully profitable and successful. Lenson bitching is not going to get anyone to remove Adam and give the opportunity to someone of his choice. So if he was not involved and had no say in this opportunity for Adam, why bother? It is impossible to say Adam was not qualified when you have not even seen the project. If only the proven were give the opportunities then no one new would ever get a chance or a start.

I see that Adam deleted his IGs of Oliver and his giggle. But, Gelly, being her usual clever self, kept it w/o tags for the fandom. I also noticed that quite a few Glamberts are now following Oliver on IG. I haven't yet, but might in the future. I get the feeling that Oliver might not wish to engage with Glamberts the way Javi did. He has deleted any IG post referencing Adam and only seems to post public types of pics on his public account. He has another private IG account where I imagine more personal things are posted. Adam follows him there.
