I'm sorry, but that's a rather amusing typo. LOL I have no knowledge of Oliver and his social media posting habits, but IMO having a public and a private account is a good way to go under the circumstances. It would not hurt my feelings one bit if Oliver does not engage the fandom, if he and Adam are or become seriously involved. Ooops! lol That wasn't even wishful thinking in this case. Haha, Freudian slip

I'm just reminded of the time Adam said they should have put some real singers into Les Miserables instead of actors singing. He got into some hot water himself. I don't think Adam's issue was a blanket condemnation of movie stars getting that kind of opportunity over bona fide musical theatre actors; it was that he believed most of those actors just did not have the vocal ability to perform the songs the way they needed to be performed. For him, with his extensive vocal training and musical theatre background, it negatively affected his enjoyment of the film. I'm sure it didn't help that he probably has tons of lesser-known friends and acquaintances who could have knocked those roles out of the park both singing and acting-wise, but I don't recall him saying movie stars, by their very definition, did not have the right to be considered for the cast. Agree. Adam did not have a problem with actors being cast in a musical as that has been done forever. His problem was some could not sing well. Many agreed with him. I think Adam would know they would unlikely cast an unknown and unproven person in the leading roles in such a large film, even if they could sing. They needed the acting too and they wanted named stars. BoRap was a hit and it did not hurt that Rami failed to sing. I think it would have hurt the film if they forced him to sing. Reese Witherspoon did her own singing in Walk The Line but she did a good job with the singing and the acting. And she was not taking on the part of iconic singer Freddie Mercury, lol. So my guess is Adam was thinking if they wanted to go with actors who could not sing well, they should have substituted other voices or picked actors who could also sing.

I agree with this...I always thought Javi's engagement of the fans was pandering...and some of fans' comments made me cringe. I agree with all this. Adam deleted the picture so I think he's trying to keep this private. I'm not following him, not going to. You can always look at it anytime. I was later to party with Javi already quite public so I'm still following him lol! I'm happy that Adam has found someone to spend time with that they both seem to be enjoying! Loving the album can't wait for the DVD! Onward and upward!

Omg, I'm so tired of seeing tweets about this soap opera on the twitter timeline below...I was so excited when I saw that it apparently got cancelled, but the fans aren't letting up.
The things you learn about around here.
Totally O/T, sorry, but it's a bit reminiscent of us lol.

IMHO,Adam was 100 percent right about the voices in Les Miserables. The acting was fine ,but the vocals ruined the movie for me,to the point that I had to leave the theatre in the middle of the film..The musical comes alive because of the music and the talent of the singers... THe emotion had to be delivered by singers capable of singing the score. It hurt to listen to the cast.If the actors also had great voices no complaint. I think some are comparing apples to oranges.. Adam is just starting out thinking about his future musical.. while the film was finished and out for all to judge.I'm off to listen once again to the dynamic and epic 'Live Around the World'.Personally would love to see tons of streaming for our guys. Yeah, for me too, musicals are first and foremost about singing ability. If the singers can't deliver the songs and the emotions behind the songs, no amount of great scenery or costumes or big names is going to make me enjoy them. Whether we're talking movie musicals, animated musicals or stage productions, the music and the singing has to be great. That's just my opinion. Everybody has their preferences. I'm sure some people loved Val Kilmer in The Ten Commandments, lol. But, on the flip side, there are probably some musicals that would never be made without some big name attached to the production.
In this case, of course, the discussion was about writing a musical, and who "should get the opportunity" to write musicals - an absurd question, in my opinion, because if Cyndi Lauper, or Adam Lambert, or whichever pop star, want to get involved in writing a musical, they should all have the chance to do that. And then we'll see the results. I have no doubt that Adam has a lot to contribute, but we really don't know anything at this point about the amount of his involvement: if he is part of writing the book or any of the songs, if he was helping with developing the story or just a specific character, or providing any other ideas... so the entire "debate" about it is sooo premature. Let's all wait and see what and if anything comes of it and then we can discuss whether we like it or not. (I'm sure I'll like it if Adam is involved, lol.)
Yes, off to listen to Live Around the World - and Velvet! I am not ready to stop listening to Velvet, it's such a good album. I know everyone is probably more interested in LATW right now, and it's so amazing, so well done, but I just love the Velvet songs so much. It's definitely my favourite Adam Lambert album.
Great idea, I'm going to listen to Velvet Too..LOVE THE ALBUM... Hope it gets out there one day for all to hear.. I have been listening to Adam's music for more than 5 hours today and it feels like no time at all.. nobody else does that to me
