I agree too!! And I also agree with your previous post, Nica about the uncertainty as GNT was coming together. His album tour was done in major chunks – U.S. in Nov./Dec. then Asian and Europe in March/April of 2010. THEN they put together GNT before its debut June 4. A Brazilian writer (and fan) NoAngel and I were chatting with on Twitter the other day sent me the full transcript of the interview she did with Adam. (The published article is in Portuguese and she said it was only 1/3 of their conversation.) When she interviewed him, GNT was just starting to be formed. He said, at that time, he expected it to be in "very small venues – like 500 to maybe 1,000 people." Well, we know that changed. I go with Q3's prediction of July, however, he will take a break for the Olympics to guest with Queen again. (Olympics are end of July to beginning of August.) It will be better planned, larger venues and not as many shows. SQUEEEEE!!! SMASH HIT!!!!I do believe everything will be more organized with Era #2. And more timely. I sincerely hope, Susie, your thoughts on venues prove true... but boy, will it be hard to get those seats closest to the stage!

I guess getting interviewed by Rolling Stone made SOOOO much difference. In MJ, when Adam announced the single the Better Than I Know Myself and people listening to Claude demo, some people like it some trash it. There's this one poster said that the album's going to be crash and burn. Now that he's in RS, he/she said hope it's going to be a hit like the first album... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

When Adam's tour is announced I hope it is more organized. I want all the dates, on Ticketmaster, at once. It is so much easier to plan that way. This Wed., I am buying tickets for Kelly Clarkson at The Nokia. When? April 4th!!! That's how I want Adam's dates to be announced!

Not that Adam or anyone would ever tell us, but since Queen already knows about this gig, I wonder if they've even had a chat about it. Anyway, I feel strongly that the hype we're hearing is just the beginning. I think Adam's team is going to put everything they've got to push this single as far as it'll go. I'm assuming it'll go to #1 in some countries (waves to Finland and Canada!) and I want at least #5 in the U.S. Then if he releases another single in late spring/early summer, he can tour riding that high, and attract a whole new group of fans to the concerts. If he upgrades to larger venues, I do hope there'll be some smaller, more intimate venues sprinkled in here and there. I'd be willing to travel to Lubbock Bumfuck if it meant seeing him from reasonably close, even if I couldn't do that for most shows.

I don't remember if mys*&@^#r and I talked about it here, but Katy's show was really well done, and really NOT crazy expensive from what I could tell. (Management does tours, so the same people that helped facilitate this show, bookings, budget, sponsors – hopefully – etc. will be working on Adam's) She had one more musician in her band and two more dancers. Her set was great and likely the bulk of the budget to build it in the first place, and take it down and haul it from venue to venue. Her costumes were also amaze and probably a large chunk of the budget. However, much of the narrative of the show was woven together with a video telling the story – it was very cute and tongue-in-cheek and probably shot in a day or two. Once it was shot, there was no additional expense, except for the video screens, which were already part of the set and used very cleverly. The video was also a great distraction from costume changes and transitions. You didn't even notice them happening because they'd play another three minutes of the "story." Not saying his will be as large as Katy's yet, but just that with some ingenuity that they were already employing, it doesn't have to be crazy expensive either.
