Just chiming in to say YES to the Olympics dream! That would be so awesome!!!!!! Not that Adam or anyone would ever tell us, but since Queen already knows about this gig, I wonder if they've even had a chat about it. Anyway, I feel strongly that the hype we're hearing is just the beginning. I think Adam's team is going to put everything they've got to push this single as far as it'll go. I'm assuming it'll go to #1 in some countries (waves to Finland and Canada!) and I want at least #5 in the U.S. Then if he releases another single in late spring/early summer, he can tour riding that high, and attract a whole new group of fans to the concerts. If he upgrades to larger venues, I do hope there'll be some smaller, more intimate venues sprinkled in here and there. I'd be willing to travel to Lubbock Bumfuck if it meant seeing him from reasonably close, even if I couldn't do that for most shows. Count me in on that. And-- am considering either Europe or Asia as well. That would be all kinds of fun, wouldn't it?

NoAngel, I have a strong feeling that the intimate venue days of seeing Adam Lambert are over. We are so lucky to have stanned him from the beginning and to have gotten last year! Maybe in Europe or the UK, but here... I doubt it.

So... the last two single he got double platinum in Australia, with the #SMASHHIT means he's going to multi-platinum? TOP 40 radio loves him here in Oz. The top 40 station I listen to from time to time still plays all 3 singles most days.

Seeing talking about touring. The venue that Adam played here in Melbourne is the largest seated theatre in town, after that you got up to GA venue that has a 4500 capacity and after that up to the indoor arenas which are 10k and up. Adam sold out the Palais here (capacity 2850) which is actually pretty hard to do. Many international acts who tour here and play Palais don't sell it out, including some well known names. So bodes well for him for next trip. I'd love to see him play Rod Laver Arena (capacity 15k) - is where all the big pop acts play. Pink sold out 15 shows there a couple of years ago which was a record.

I realized today that I've got 5 weeks of vacation saved up thanks to going nowhere this last year, lol. But actually I have mixed feelings about going overseas to see Adam. On one hand, it would be amazing and it could be part of a fantastic vacation. On the other hand, SO many European fans didn't get to see him the first time because the venues were little and sold out so fast. I would truly not want to take a seat from a European fan, given that we in the U.S. are so fortunate to have so many to choose from. Maybe the solution is to splurge on good seats here for a couple of concerts, and then go to Europe (where he'll hopefully be in larger venues) and sit wherever, letting the local peeps see him up close.

I would forgo the close seats overseas, as well as the meet and greets, in order to give other people a chance to have those wonderful experiences with Adam. But what a great reason to travel! It would be the icing on the cake-- experience another culture AND go to an Adam concert= perfect vacation!

Like our very own, Miachichu! She has not seen Adam live yet because the Helsinki venue was so small and sold out in less than 5 minutes!
