When I think of illegal downloading, I think of other things that might be easy to take. Like grapes at the grocery store, a bag of chips, etc. Probably wouldn't get caught and if caught would probably be told to not do it or to pony up the 99 cents. So, what's the rationalization for the illegal dowbloaders? Is it everyone is doing it? Or is it no one is watching? Just questions I have in my own mind about the practice.

I swear, at times I feel like I am the only person still buying hard copy books. The weird thing is (don't throw stones), that at times I think so many people are NOT buying books that they are starting to look down at people who do have them! I've had one person look at my book-cluttered house who then actually sniffed and said "You know, my house is so much neater since I got rid of the books and got a Kindle". (The temptation to kick their ass out of my home at that moment was extremely high) Books are not clutter  they are friends  I love books! Real books. Books you can hold in your hand. And, yes, I have books everywhere. But we may be dying out, like the dinosaurs. |
