OK, after thinking about it and reading all the tweets and excitement from DJ's, promoters and other insiders that have been brought here over the weeks I am going with the latest Glamazon rumor until proven otherwise. A little flail never hurts and I won't be upset if it doesn't happen. So in that light: Here is my prediction: Next Friday: Announcement of the single release Following Tuesday: either release to radio or early (soft) release for radio. New Years: Performance in New York or England. (A girl can dream can't she:-) Why do I think December would be OK: Because remember it is a WORLDWIDE release and the whole globe is in the mix. So perhaps it can gain traction in other areas and by the New Year the US DJ's will be all over it like flies on sh!t poop!!! Bottom line for me: I just don't think they can keep the lid on this for another 4 to 6 weeks and too many PTB like sonyglobal, rca, shoshonna (spelling?), Dj's and on an on are taking too much for it to be that far off. I am going to look at this as the glass half full until Adam tweets "hey guys, the rumor my single is coming out this month is just that" type of thing. Otherwise, if he stays silent it will feed into my speculation. Welcome Slovakia! Great time for all of our lurkers to join in:-) I'm totally with you for the most part here, adamfanem!Couple of thoughts: • IF next week announces debut date and it IS in December, my guess is Dec. 12. It can go to radio before freeze, which will allow it to be virtually unencumbered on CHR by anything else. CHR – at least in L.A. – does NOT play Christmas music; KIIS has a sister AC station that does that from before Thanksgiving until 12/26. • Live debut COULD be U.S. "X Factor" plus a NYE performance (I think both will be in the U.S. – just me ...) • It can go for adds as soon as the freeze is over and then full promo blitz in January with video debuting mid-January-ish. • He'll be first performer on first live shows on new season of Idol. Oh yeah, SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE AGAIN!!!!! |

One LAST thing
The freeze typically is from the 19th to the 25th on MAJOR pop stations. The only ones that succumb to is the ones that don't rely on high tier musicians for promotion. Pretty much the adult contemporary/slow jamz/rhythmic/classic channels.
The song will premiere right before the "freeze". Then it will be radio TAKEOVER right after. Trust me. And that my friends, is IT!
