Hey this TKRadio guy, or one of these flaily DJ's. Do anyone remember that DJ from some months ago, who was at this bar/club/showcase of Pia Toscano, I think he was of some big Washington DC radio station. This DJ was saying that he liked Adam and was hoping that he wouldn't become too artsy, and he was talking about how the people at RCA was raving and praising Adam. Well all of that is to say, do anyone remember who this DJ was and what radio station he was of, and if he's one hte DJ's these DJ's that we're hearing that is flailing now? Yes, I totally remember. I follow Merrycello who told the story. Here is the blow-by-blow (with a little editorializing because I've heard deets along the way ...) • Toby Knapp is one of the main DJs and assistant PDs at the biggest CHR station in Washington, D.C. • Merrycello and another fan I follow were at Pia Toscano's concert quite a while ago (September?). They struck up a conversation with Toby and he had NO IDEA they were Adam fans. He told them the buzz on the new album was HUGE. (Btw, this guy is not an early convert; he has been very hard on Adam in the past). • Yes, I remember the comment about not becoming too artsy, but his tweets from the last few days address this, I think. This time around is what us fans wanted for him the first time around. Seeing it happen now (and I do think it will be successful) makes me feel not only happy and proud for Adam but also for the fans who have been around from the start and the new fans joining in.
Yes, I agree there is a ground swell of change in the radio media this time around. I also think they will be more than on-board - but also seem a little excited too - and like to play with the fans as mentioned in the tweet up-thread. How could they resist, Adam fans are a fun, intelligent, and highly motivated group of individuals:-)

So on twitter someone I follow was saying that--AND THIS IS SPEC SO MAY NOT EVEN BE REMOTELY TRUE LOL--maybe Shoshanna got Adam a perf slot on the UK XFactor finale. Apparently the finale is Dec 11 and she was saying how it would make sense why that Times article over there got moved up inexplicably (swear I saw a tweet where it mentioned the date of that article to come out now about the 11th or so but maybe I'm hallucinating this?)and that it would be INSANE levels of promo if he snagged one. I guess Adele is gonna perform for the first time after vocal rest and the freakin thing is being held in .....WEMBLEY STADIUM. UNF. Of course there is nothing concrete this is based on, lol, just some fun speccing and what not...but it would be pretty awesome. Plus, in my perfect world he would premiere the song next friday on like Seacrest or Z100 and then perform it on the XFactor finale. But that's my perfect world lol This teasing is like a torture, I need to hear the song now! |

This is a tough situation. While I'd love to reveal the date, I personally can't. My posts have been spread all over the internet and people are SERIOUSLY buzzing. Lol I'm kinda afraid that I'll get caught and yanked from my position.
