So am I doing this right? Time difference to US is right now 18 hours? So, Eastcoast would get this at 6 am, if they really follow that plan? Perhaps I should wait for an announcement first before making details plans...but why start behaving logical now? So, did anybody follow that Gaga rollout and know what happened? Did they play the music at the same moment in multiple regions, even though it was awkward times for some? And the next interesting question is going to be, how will this be marketed? I mean, I am not quite expecting Adam to show up on buses all over NY quite yet. But they will need to market it outside of the fanbase, which clearly they are able to reach with a message in Russian - no problem. Hate to give his site a hit but as expected... perezhilton.com/2011-05-23-born-this-way-number-one-in-united-state-itunes-one-hour-lady-gaga#.TtvxwLIk6nAOMGaGa!!! Born This Way #1 Worldwide! This morning, the power of GaGa was felt by all as Born This Way was released and then catapulted to the top of the US iTunes charts within a mere hour of release! Amazeballs!!!! Outstanding!!! Mind blowing!!!! Welcome to the GaGaverse!!! That has to be a record!!! And that's not all! It is currently the #1 album on the iTunes chart in 22 countries, spanning from the UK to Spain to Austrailia to Japan and everywhere in-between!!! We're so filled with happiness over this! We just know this is going to be such a major milestone in GaGaloo's career! She deserves this and every accolade that follows for this album. It's a masterpiece and so is she!!! I dunno, this just seems very unlikely to me given that Adam hasn't had the months of buildup that Gaga had before this, or anything close to the success of her first album/singles. I'm also skeptical about a simultaneous premier involving either simultaneous itunes or radio release. Don't both of these often lag a little bit to allow people to get to know the song and want to hear/buy it so the first week showing is impressive? I'm just asking, because I know nothing about this but what I've picked up from osmosis/stanning Adam and that doesn't really count IMO. ETA: also isn't this Gaga's album not single release?

NoAngel, I had to read thru your musings several times to get the full impact. I had a smile on my face from ear to ear. I can identify wiuth each one of those due to my current circumstances. The one that struck me was to open up the curtain and view the neighbor's lights.
We just sold our home ----yeah and triple yeah, and I am knee deep in boxes. We made a dent in the boxes that are stacked in the garage and I looked and we are only 1/8 done. Bah humbug.
But as I sit and watch tv, when I get a chance, the neighbor 2 doors down, has a tree in his front yard, that is heavily strung with lights. I can sit and enjoy his efforts. Guess we will have to take turns sitting and viewing. Guess we will have to sit guests down so they can gaze at those lights, cause that's all they are getting this year.
The thought of shopping, is beyond me at this point. Gift cards, here I come.
I just want to express my appreciation to all you talented ATOP'ers. The warm fuzzies I get daily keep me going.
NoAngel, I always look forward to your musings.

gabby, hmm after your post maybe it will be on Friday the 16th:-) Yes, I would say it will definitely be the 16th because that is the only day in the entire month of December, besides Christmas, that I will NOT be able to be glued to the computer all day! : Me, too!!! We have a commitment that day that cannot be changed unless it is cancelled by the other party and the time frame is set as well. UGH! And we could easily be gone until late afteroon (5:00ish). However, IF the single is released that morning before 10:00 central time, I might have the opportunity to at least hear it and I could flail w/you guys later that evenng. I'd rather flail in real time w/you, but well....not an option. :( Puh-leez, Adam.....tell us something soon!!!!

No , I don't know the answer! Yesterday SusieFierce asked me on twitter about these gifs, it seems that no one knows where they're from!
Must be during promo because of his looks , in one of them he's saying "Hi, this is Adam" but it doesn't ring a bell, nada, nothing!

Anybody know where these are from?? I clicked on the link, but can't see any I.D. for time or place... Someone was asking on Twitter the other day and no one knew. (Not even Gelly ???)ETA: Oops, we cross-posted, Gelly! I'm beginning to think this Gaga situation is making more and more sense. Once that's done – with all countries getting to listen simultaneously, there will be multiple promotion opps, including the major radio shows, XF finale, and possible NYE show. Bring it ON!!!

There is no way Adam's launch will be like Gaga's. I know it seems crazy to us, but the whole Pop world is not waiting for Adam's single. Gaga is in a class all by herself. Now, single 2 may have the whole Pop world waiting but as of now, he is still making his name. I think all the Russian tweets mean is that it will be released the same day worldwide, unlike the FYE era that had different singles and different release dates for different countries.

Hey all -
I would think that the song would need to be released this week in order for radio stations to have a few weeks to add it before the "shut down" between xmas and new years. I seem to remember there is 2 week time period when no adds happen.
Has this been discussed already? Does one of the smart people about the radio play business have any thoughts on this? I am not here very much so I may have completely missed that coversation.

They said they were doing a worldwide release on same day. She did too and was the last to do so. How is that not comparable? ETA: It doesn't have to have all the pomp and circumstance, but the only other difference would be what time it's released in each country.
