Ok, the Olympics-that would be HUGE and SPECIAL and I'm all for it . But a "tour"? Somehow the assumption here is being made that "tour"=a few high profile events. To me " a few" is not a tour and not what they are saying. And I don't think the average reader of these articles necessarily thinks that either. Perhaps "a few" is the reality of it, but I never assume and certainly don't trust the average reader to assume either. The "tour" is what the Queen Extravaganza tribute band would be doing. They won't be playing stadiums and since they are forming it in the States then it's likely to tour just the states for now. The few "dates" is what is likely for Adam, May, & Taylor and occur where they don't overlap the tribute band. I don't think May and Taylor have had there last hurrah yet but they haven't felt comfortable putting on a real Queen show. It's a rock band, they don't need dancers, they don't need an elaborate stage, they just need an exciting front man who doesn't need a lot of rehearsal for when they get asked to do a special here and there. |

THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Adam probably knows most Queen songs by heart. It would be totally easy for him to step in for a "special performance" like he did with the EMA gig, or like the Olympics, or just a special appearance with Queen here or there. He could work his tour around a date with enough advance notice. Hoping the tour happens by the summer, anyway! |

When I saw Adam's tweet this morning, I actually chuckled and then rolled my eyes...c'mon, Adam, how 'bout saying something like news on Thurs. or Friday? Why so day-of-the-week adverse? lol Oh, and the possibilities for Adam and Queen are so exciting! Olympics and the Bond movie- gah! Just kidding, but I'm surprised Adam didn't say "details on single coming any day- ish!" ;D Of course, THAT would have put us over the edge (for any of us that aren't already there  ). But, at least to me, "any day now" sounds a little more definite than "ish." Ok--off to do some holiday shopping. |
