www.stereoboard.com/content/view/169371/9Adam Lambert Set To Join Queen For Tour?Did anyone else notice this little tidbit at the end of the article: "In other Queen news, a biopic about Queen and their iconic ex-frontman is now in the works and will be called ‘Mercury’, starring Borat’s Sacha Baron Cohen." Are they talking about a movie about Freddie? Maybe I should know who this Sacha Baron Cohen is, but I don't have a clue? 4 This Mercury biopic has been in the works for a long time now. Sacha Baron Cohen is a famous British actor/comedian most known for his movies where he plays a character, like Borat, Bruno or Ali G en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacha_Baron_Cohen

My last spam: I am not that worked up--just seeing all sides of the argument. The one thing I KNOW is that Adam is smart beyond measure. He'll do what's right, whatever that is!!

However this would be a completely different kind of role. He could do it and it would hopefully change the direction of his career. There are a number of Queen projects at hand. 1) possible James Bond song Fall/winter TBD 2) the Freddie movie 3) Olympics 4) a new release of demos. All this in 2012. Although I can see the Freddie movie being delayed. Its already been delayed a least twice already.

Sacha Baron Cohen is an actor and comedian whose characters are Ali G., Brüno, and most famously Borat. His most successful movie was Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. In the past 24 hours --- 22 news articles about Adam fronting Queen from 7 countries, 5 languages. And that is excluding the "fake" news like Gather and freestanding blogs. All spun out of that Billboard piece. This is one pretty much baseless story that I hope comes true -- just for one more really big event while Adam is putting together his band. It would get a lot more coverage and the run-up to the performance would have links to the EMA videos. Sending up a prayer!! And hopefully Queen and Adam will get wind of this worldwide coverage of the thought and make it a self fulfilling prophecy:-) And I agree with a post above that a Queen tour to them is probably not what a "tour" is in the original sense. They are busy guys and I would think anything they do personally would be large profile or short tours in duration. Something I think Adam may well be able to fit in his schedule if desired...

Ok, the Olympics-that would be HUGE and SPECIAL and I'm all for it . But a "tour"? Somehow the assumption here is being made that "tour"=a few high profile events. To me " a few" is not a tour and not what they are saying. And I don't think the average reader of these articles necessarily thinks that either. Perhaps "a few" is the reality of it, but I never assume and certainly don't trust the average reader to assume either. I don't think you can take these articles too literally, as they are all taken from the Billboard article, which started out as a complete mess. The "reporter" combined information about the Queen "Tribute Band tour", which Roger Taylor is organizing, with the discussion of the real Queen singing with Adam. It came off as if Adam would be part of the Tribute band tour. As soon as it was posted, comments from Berts informed Billboard of the error, and the article was corrected - to a point. In fact, they still said John Deacon performed at the EMAs. :-/

How 'bout this -- Adam will front for Queen when they tour and Queen will back up Adam when he tours?!
