This is me being petty. As soon as I post this, I promise that I will go back to being above the fray and all positive, uplifting and sh*t BUT ... I really want to take this one small Karmic hit ... From The Hollywood Reporter interview: THR: Have you heard the version of “Somebody to Love” on Glee? Taylor: Glee, the TV show? No, I haven’t heard it. Have to tell you, it’s [Glee] not one of my favorites (laughs). I think there’s quite a bit of auto-tuning on that, isn’t there? I’ll tell you what I really loved: the version of “Somebody to Love” that was in Happy Feet. That was fantastic. [Happy Feet, LOL Roger Taylor]
THR: What did you think about Brian May’s appearance with Lady Gaga at the VMAs this year? Taylor: I think he gave her the kind of thing that she needed there. I guess it was fine. It’s the kind of thing that people don’t expect. [Thank you Roger Taylor, finally someone who can separate talent from hype. Yes, she's talented but her hype overshadows it.]
On Adam: "He has grown into a really great performer with an astonishing voice with a range that's great." OK, now I will revert to my more puppies and rainbows Good Girl side. ;D

I wonder what Paul Rodgers thinks about all this...... LOL I'm not commenting on Paul Rodger's vocals, just his whole look and persona - I found them very off-putting. He seemed detached, scruffy, surly, and had no charisma whatsoever. Other than that, he was fine. MTE

In the past 24 hours --- 22 news articles about Adam fronting Queen from 7 countries, 5 languages. And that is excluding the "fake" news like Gather and freestanding blogs. All spun out of that Billboard piece.
This is one pretty much baseless story that I hope comes true -- just for one more really big event while Adam is putting together his band. It would get a lot more coverage and the run-up to the performance would have links to the EMA videos.
Sending up a prayer!!

The upside to all this we've been distracted from the topic a few days ago!

www.mad.tv/section/news/53587/news/FYI Mad TV (and Mad Radio) is one of the biggest Music TV stations in Greece along with MTV Greece. They have the Mad Video Music Awards that are VERY popular in Greece, it's a live show that is happening each year from 2004 till now. What does the legendary band have to do with ... American Idol; Their first public appearance was at the MTV Europe Awards. The star of "American Idol" sang live the legendary "The Show Must Go On", "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" with the drummer of Queen Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May. Roger Taylor is preparing a tribute band for their upcoming Queen Extravaganza Tour and Lambert will probably take the role of the frontman. Furthermore, it looks like that the new band will include three singers, who will be selected through auditions-and a five-member band while the tour is expected to begin in May and last three months.

OMG
This could not be orchestrated better if they had deliberately arranged it with Taylor to coincide with the imminent release. I don't for a moment think they did so the stars had their role.
Can you imagine as this circles the globe, the single dramatically drops within a few days of the frenzy of who is this that Queen is courting for those who don't know? Everyone will want to listen to the new song.
We should also watch for hits on Adam's "old" music.
This is epic!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no worries at all about Adam working with Queen again. None. He has new music coming out and a few, possibly high profile, gigs with Queen, as their special guest, can only be a great thing, imo. Just like the EMA performance, it may very well get people talking and interested enough to check out his music. I think the stars are aligning perfectly for Adam this era. I really do! I sooooo agree. 8-)

I wonder if the reason we are getting Adam's single in December instead of January is because of all of the publicity that has resulted from the Adam/Queen EMA performance.
