In the past 24 hours --- 22 news articles about Adam fronting Queen from 7 countries, 5 languages. And that is excluding the "fake" news like Gather and freestanding blogs. All spun out of that Billboard piece. This is one pretty much baseless story that I hope comes true -- just for one more really big event while Adam is putting together his band. It would get a lot more coverage and the run-up to the performance would have links to the EMA videos. Sending up a prayer!! Soooo glad the fans "encouraged" Billboard to correct their story right away before the world press got their hands on it. This is fabulous coverage, but think of all the "Tribute Band" questions Adam would have had to answer if the article had been let stand as it was. Yay Berts!!!

Tell me about indifferent friends! Like when you share on facebook soaked from GNT and all they can say is that he looks like a prettier version of Sara Montiel. Lets look it on the bright side: Sara used to be really pretty. in reply to Lulu2365 and gzkeydo you know what my 40-year old son, who used to play guitar in a band in his twenties (and hence I've always believed him to be my music "expert"), said after I twisted his arm into watching the EMA Queen video? He said: Established artists need not embellish their performances with all that warbling. At that point, I gave him up for lost... but I feel bad his remark left me speechless... CASSIE you can provide a most incisive retort ??? It is written in the instruction manual for adult children, especially males, that they must be "meh" on everything their parents, especially their mothers, are passionate about. I think it is Chapter VI Subsection 3.28 line 42. But the good news is, you know what "meh" means and he doesn't. ;D

scearly! So sad to hear of your serious illness! I have to admit though that your post made me giggle. I can just picture you, on your almost death bed, saying, "Hell no! I am not going without hearing this single!" SO HAPPY you made it!

Feel free to throw eggs at me and so on, but I do see a reason for concern, as other people have mentioned. Of course there are huge benefits of all this exposure that have already been pointed out and I totally acknowledge, so I am not going to focus on them. But. I do not want Adam to go from "American Idol" straight to "the guy who tours with Queen." If you look at all these articles, all of them define Adam by saying "American Idol runner up" or similar. Not one says "pop star Adam Lambert." Queen is a HUGE deal, and the danger here, for me, is that Adam's own career never reaches up to the level of notoriety that touring with Queen has, and therefore, overall, Adam will be known MORE for touring with Queen than for his own music. TBH, that's the case with Paul Rodgers. I know he has his own career, but for me and most people who are not close followers of his career, he is "the guy who toured with Queen after Freddie". The fame that he got from that is definitely more salient than the one he got from his own career. And I want Adam to be known as an artist in his own right. The whole thing is even more tricky than usual because American Idol was basically a show for singing covers, and touring with Queen means singing covers, so there could be some people who don't even know Adam has his own career. Anyways, that's my piece, feel free to scroll. If I were Adam I would be very careful about saying yes to a lot of dates (1 or 2 is fine, and especially if other stars are doing other dates). I know the attraction is huge (he can sing in front of stadiums!) but he wouldn't do his own music.

I have no worries at all about Adam working with Queen again. None. He has new music coming out and a few, possibly high profile, gigs with Queen, as their special guest, can only be a great thing, imo. Just like the EMA performance, it may very well get people talking and interested enough to check out his music. I think the stars are aligning perfectly for Adam this era. I really do! ^^^ This^^ ^And we would be talking only about several dates in huge venues. Probably no more than 4-6 (if even that) of the largest cities around the world. If it is really a small tour. OR, Roger may even just be referring to one, the Olympics, without being able to say it yet! It would be nothing but a big WIN for all! The only question is how much would these tickets be and how fast would they sellout, because Queen has a crapload of fans!! ETA: Adam will never be "the guy who tours with Queen." Every article, in every country, says his name and mentions how amazing he is. Adam's own career is first and foremost for him. Collabs, with legends, have never been a bad thing. Don't forget, he has his eye on the prize.

I just came home after a week in hospital with pneumonia. I´ve never been so sick before in my life and at one point I doubted I was gonna make it, but then WTF, I have NOT been patiently waiting for this single and album for months and then just miss out because of pneumonia. That is not gonna happen. Thank you Adam, you saved my life (you and a massive load of antibiotics). But HOW am I going to catch up on everything? Please, a short recap and hints on what pages I should visit to get the most new info, pics and hilarious comment from you people. It´s good to be back Scearly!! What a frightening ordeal!! I'm so glad you got through it! Be gentle with yourself while you recover fully. Hopefully by Friday we'll know SOMETHING about the release of BTIKM.
