Yeah, still, they sent the song to radio and they gave radio a date. Why can't they just give the date to the public? They can still be working on all the behind-the-scenes BS while we start happily counting the days til release date.
Craazy, I imagine he'll play an entire set and he'll want buzz to start w BTIKM, so if he's flying all that way, might as well start a little word-of-mouth there. I personally hope he flies right back home in time for the XF finale on Thurs (which could be some logistics they're working out - maybe Sony will lend one of the company planes? ;D). XF U.S. has announced very few performers while XF UK has everyone and their mother performing.it would so suck with all the RCA connections and Adam's song dropping if he can't do that gig. Maybe he will join S in Finland after Xmas or he can fly that day since he doesn't celebrate it anyway.
I personally hope so too. If the song is being released 12/18 this will be a critical time. He should be doing all the promo possible. (I don't want to be telling him how to live his life  but that seems a given to me.) In fact I'm not even clear on how he can be in China when the single is released. I know that event was planned previously but still..... Maybe someone can clear up my thinking on this. I could be too influenced by wanking on twitter. LOL I'm liking this idea more and more. ;D ;D Simon used to fly back and forth from London to L.A. every week when he was judging both XFactors Oops! I meant XF UK and "American Idol." LAX to London is about 11.5 hours. LAX to Shanghai is 13.5 hours direct (yes, I looked :  He can pre-tape interviews with the major stations – Ryan, Elvis Duran, Kid Kraddick, etc. It's not ideal, but certainly can be, and is often, done to run on radio Monday morning. And sorry for being political, but the right wing is who have attacked gays and made it one of the primary the platforms of the Republican party and the rhetoric they use is most definitely hateful. YMMV, but no rationalizations and "my best friend is gay" defenses while you are making it your party's primary cause to deny civil rights to a huge segment of the citizenry will not come across as hateful to me. They are questioning their entire right to exist. Individuals may not agree, but they have been utterly powerless standing up to the party's platform. The "separate but equal" rationalization in the '60s was blatant racism and this is a blatant attack on an entire minority. It just is. |

I can't believe they are changing promo plans now because of the China gig. It's not like they just found out yesterday and have to scramble. This has been in the works a long time. It appears that RCA is really pushing this single so I want to believe that there is a very good reason for the timing and lack of information. I remind myself that we are not dealing with amateurs in the business.

I think this event has been in the works for a while and is completely separate from anything else. Seems like the promo was affected by something we don't yet know about-- which is why the UK article got moved forward, etc. |

I have family members who I see has misguided and not hateful. They really worry about the souls of those they perceive as sinners. When you live in fear of hell and condemnation you are easily sucked in by the message of wanting to save and convert the gays. |

Reading Glitterma's wonderful GNT posts this morning got me reminiscing about the GNT shows I attended and especially about the KFEST music festival. I dropped my camera just as Fever was starting so I didn't get to video it like I did all the other songs. During Fever Adam made a silly gesture, as he does quite often, that really made me giggle and I was so disappointed that I didn't get it on my camera. After the concert I was checking the pictures that my niece took with her camera (she was under strict instructions by me to take still pictures during the concert LOL) and she had captured the exact moment I giggled about!!!  Does anyone have a link to a video of Fever from that show? I've never seen one and would love to. PS: I also have had difficultly with the site over the past few days. |
