Happy Birthday Melisende and Iridium and welcome to all the new members. I appreciate the fan art because I admire creative people, not being terribly creative myself. If someone is serious about their art, like Adam is about his singing, constructive critisism is only helpful. If they are not, then it is hopefully still enjoyable for them to create, and I'm happy that Adam inspires them to do so. If I don't like the piece I'll scroll right past. My two cents!

OK, this is so far out there, I only mentioned it to one Atopper in a DM. (She kind of said, "um, no!" ) ;D What if....... Adam is going to be announced as the first artist on Dr. Luke's new label? What if...... the most recent delays have been because the Dr Luke stuff wasn't quite ready? This, would be a major press release! It could be the reason for all the secrecy? ETA: This is all wild conjecture on my part I know nothing! But, Adam, this is what happens to our brains when we know nothing!!! A few people has suggested this but the RCA promotions team is working the single to US and Canadian Radio so can't be what is going on. Also, the Dr. Luke deal was to develop new Sony artists -- not to shift people around within Sony Music Entertainment. On 11/9/11 when the announced the Sony-Dr. Luke deal they said that Dr. Luke would launch his new label, Kemosabe Records, in January. It was described in the article as “Sony’s fourth label division” (the other three being Columbia, run by chairman Rob Stringer, Epic, headed by chairman and CEO L.A. Reid and RCA with Peter Edge as its new CEO). No chance that Peter Edge would send Adam over to Kemiosabe Records. The artist that could be in play, could be Ke$ha because Dr. Luke "discovered" her. But I really doubt that. The part of this that is great for Adam is that Dr. Luke has an exclusive production deal with Sony -- so he can work with Adam, Britney, Ke$ha BUT NOT work with Katie Perry.

music.yahoo.com/blogs/reality-rocks/marc-martel-officially-selected-fill-freddie-mercury-platform-211250458.htmlThe article of course is by mrs. Bert : Lyndsey but I love it. Marc Martel Officially Selected to Fill Freddie Mercury’s Platform Boots Via ‘Queen Extravaganza’ Talent Search By Lyndsey Parker | Reality Rocks – Thu, Dec 8, 2011 4:12 PM EST [Little aside here: Obviously, Adam Lambert, who recently sang with Queen at the MTV Europe Awards when the band accepted a Global Icon Award, would be a fabulous choice for the Freddie role here. But, um, he's a little busy right now--you know, appearing on reality shows like "Project Runway" and "Majors & Minors," hanging out with Nile Rodgers, and readying his sure-to-be-amazing sophomore opus. Plus, while Adam has the pipes to hit those Mercury-rising notes, he's not a copycat singer. We may see the real Queen and Adam perform together again, but not right now.]

glitztripper, thanks for compiling that list! It is great to read them all together! A little OT here about Major and Minors. Last night's episode had Claude Kelly on as the guest. First, Claude is adorable! Adam must have had so much fun working with him. He just seems SO nice! Second, he explains his process for writing songs and it is fascinating. Third, HE wrote Grenade with Bruno but all I ever hear is "Bruno wrote Grenade!" It annoys me that the general public thinks Bruno(and Gaga) are the sole writers of their songs and these artists never do anything to try to clear up the misconception. Unlike Adsam who says, "I wrote Aftermath with 3 of my friends." And with Adam, his critics will say, "But he collaborated!" It could be that there isn't a misconception to clear up. I don't know much about Bruno, but I did read that Gaga writes almost every word and the melody to her songs. I think there is a difference between four people contributing to the lyrics of a song and someone who writes almost every word of a song PLUS the music to accompany those lyrics. From Gaga's producer Fernando Garibay: THR: She’s credited as a co-writer on most songs from Born This Way, what percentage of the songwriting would you say she’s responsible for? Garibay: She doesn't need anyone to write a hit song. A lot of times, it’s 100% her. She's generous enough to give the producers who worked on this album a percentage of the songwriting for the production and whatever contributions we gave in arrangement or a few lyrical suggestions here and there. I wonder what the percentage of the songwriting Adele is responsible for on 21? Does she write the music or is it just the lyrics? ??? Also, I've heard Adam say many times that he co-wrote or wrote on 4 or 5 of the songs without mentioning his friends.

Also, I've heard Adam say many times that he co-wrote or wrote on 4 or 5 of the songs without mentioning his friends. I don't wanna argue I just wanna say this is not always true. The opening guitar riff for Heavy metal lover was practically stolen note for note from some obscure european metal band(I made a post abt this a while back after seeing it mentioned on some metal blog lol) Idk if credit was given, and I dont really care lol but just thought I was mention that Gaga does not write every single melody. I'd be shocked if any modern artist did that. I totally believe she writes most of her lyrics--hence the crutch of using repeating syllables a lot as well as using the imagery of cigarettes and whiskey a lot, but she has to have help esp with being on tour while working on her album. No star works alone. Although if she did write the majority of BTW alone then that explains why I don't care for it lol And that's all I am gonna asy bc I really do not want to get into a Gaga discussion /war lol

I don't think most people "believe" in astrology. It's just something that is interesting and fun to play around with. Like many superstitions, we may know it is hooey but still entertain ourselves by ascribing to the tenets. I would never walk under a ladder, open an umbrella indoors, not knock on wood, or step on a crack. I know it is foolish but it pleases me to do it anyway. Astrology can be much the same- while you may not believe in its day to day importance it is another thing entirely to violate one of its most serious caveats. This. I enjoy astrology and often find things about it that are amazingly accurate, but I prefer to think about it as a positive impetus. If your horoscope either encourages or warns, I try to keep it in the back of my mind as something to consider. My sister and I were having the discussion yesterday when Tim Tebow came back AGAIN to win a game in overtime that his team had been certainly not dominating the entire time. My brother-in-law and I looked at each other and joked, "Jesus!" When it happened. (Tebow is devoutly religious and often gives credit to his faith when he pulls off something amazing.) Sister, who used to be very pragmatic and need to see black-and-white proof of things but began reading positive-thinking and new agey spiritual books while dealing with chronic pain and anxiety issues. (Similar teachings helped me greatly in some of my life and creative struggles – holla! juniemoon, very similar!) Her contention was as long as you believe completely in something – no matter what you call it – Jesus, God, the universe, positive thinking – the energy is there and you can tap into it. The point is to believe with full commitment. If you half-ass it, the energy usually isn't enough to help affect the change you're hoping to see. Of course, we've all seen Adam state things in interviews with complete confidence and have seen them manifest in his life. He has an amazing ability to do that. Regardless of what tenets he believes it – astrology and positive thinking seems to resonate with him – that helps bolster is complete belief and allows him to take risks, surrender his fears, etc. that he might not have otherwise. So I say, whatever works for you, go for it. I do however have a very difficult time believing he would tell Sony Worldwide to cool it's jets until Mercury comes out of retrograde. I mean, everyone has certain beliefs, but rarely do we expect our business lives to remain on hold until whatever does or does not happen OR expect anyone else to commit to those same beliefs.

More about the pendant that Pennyroyal is designing. Adam Lambert Fan club Via @glambert620 on AO: UPDATE: The SURPRISE of the New "Light and Love" Pendant revealed! Can't wait for all of you to see it UPDATE: THE SURPRISE REVEALED!!! After several conversations with Tim over the weekend, I found out that the surprise I was hoping to keep, has been revealed to the one person I was going to try to keep it from - Adam. Even though I wanted to keep it a secret, I've been bursting at the seams to tell you guys, so now I can! Adam will be receiving one of the pendants as a birthday gift!!! It will say "Light and Love - From Your Fans" on the back! [snip] Think of every pendant purchased as a life saved through the amazing work The Trevor Project does. How great it will be to give $30,000 to The Trevor Project on Adam's 30th birthday as a thank you for everything he gives us!!! This will be done with approval from Adam. If you guys have other questions, send Tim a tweet or a FB message and I'm sure he'll get back to you right away. I can't wait for you to see the design! Tim will announce release details soon. www.adamofficial.com/us/node/2075391 Wow, USD 30,000 seems pretty high and overly optimistic. Especially if Adam's gonna set up a charity for his birthday too. In my mind I still question the concept of Adam choosing a main charity that he could champion, and wondering is that good??? or not as good as choosing different charities? *Plus side -- becomes a spokesperson for a main charity *Plus side --by choosing a variety of charities...he is getting known by more groupings of people. Charity Water, is a cause that Adam fans from around the world can contribute to without feeling their own countries charities are left unattended, as it assists many countries. Donor Choose/Trevor Project were tougher ones as it helped American schools/children. I often thought... gee I should be donating (even more) within my own country for similar causes. Of course Charity Water would love another donating spree from Adam fans, same as Donors Choose would. It could be ...well me anyway...hold off donating, waiting for Adam's 30th birthday choice!!! I wonder if the Trevor Project was what Adam really had in mind for his 30th? or if this has forced his hand. Many of us get the up-date emails from these organizations and every time I do ...I wonder if Adam hopes that we will continue to donate on our own to these organizations. Penny Royale is a business, and as much as my neck is “loving” and bending from so many pendants and earlobes drooping with earrings... 35% I think goes to the Charity. I know...I know, even with Charity Water there are administrative/business expenses, but I doubt 65%. I wear my pendants as I like what they represent, and it is a fan thing....after 3...well???? do I want 10 plus as Adam ages to ???... forever!
