Artist shaming has thwarted more talent than anything in this world. I hope whatever inspires them to keep working at their craft - whether it's a hobby or they're destined to be the next Monet or Adam Lambert - having people harshly judging their early efforts or choice of subjects can forever stifle the ability to create. I do understand your point but also feel that mass adoration of questionable talent is akin to giving trophies to everyone on the team purely for participating. Were I to speak directly to any of these aspiring artists I would encourage them to seek competent training to develop their skills. What I would not encourage is their sending their attempts out into a cruel world before they are ready. I am the cruel world in this case I guess, but dealing with rejection without losing your own vision for yourself is a valuable lesson and one that IMO we should not shield them from learning at an early age. I agree that much of the "Adam art" is done by fans -- including many preteens -- who have more enthusiasm than skill or talent. These should be shared among friends. But there are quite a few wonderful artists who also have found Adam to be an interesting subject. And that I look for. ----- Based on the best info I can find --- BTIKM is scheduled to go on-sale on iTunes on 12/20/11. The radio date seems to be in motion. The announcement that was promised for Friday appears to be have pushed for some unknown reason. >> Odd rumor is that radio date will be Sunday? 12/18. Makes NO sense to me but none of this make sense to me. I would have agreed about no announcement until after Mercury goes out of retrograde [D Dec 13 2011 17:43], except that the announcement was scheduled for 12/9/11. But it is interesting that for months all of the rumored dates for single release to radio or onsale have been before or after Mercury Retrograde --- 8/2 - 8/23 and 11/23 - 12/13. That is as good of a reason for the screwy release schedule as anything else.

And isn't she going to fit in perfectly with the band! She and Tommy will be twins! ACK! What is it with this shaving off half your hair. To me it looks like someone had an accident and had to get it shaved off for stitches or something. Sure not flattering. Supposed to be cool or something, I guess. ??? PUNK? POP? and COOL? I guess in the eye of the beholder!!! How about... same color... same cut... NO shave... and LOOK SEXY... CUTE and COOL instead. AHHH from the mouth of an old fa_ _!

Adam seems so smart--can someone explain this to me in a way I could understand?

I guess I am the only one who finds 85% of this fan art nearly repulsive? I mean it's nice for aspiring artists to practice their skills using an subject they love, but as far as appreciating it, DNW. There is some I find good- many of Animated's pieces, the chibis, and the odd other piece that captures something unique about Adam. But by and large I think there are a lot of bored 13 year olds out there whose parents need to be saying ooh ahh and taping them to the fridge. Commence throwing tomatoes. And I really hate when folks run a pic through filters on Photoshop or Gimp and then post it as "amazing!" or God forbid try to sell it on eBay as original art. I find that vile. So..... My money says we will hear nothing new music-wise until Mercury leaves retrograde at Dec.13th 8:43pm EST. That leaves us another two days to fill.... sigh. Not my favorite thread either though some of the work is lovely. ITA that Adam is watching that ME and if he has any say, it will not happen until it shifts. I, for one, also am happy it did NOT drop in the interlude between two eclipses. Not an auspicious time either.

You know, I have been surprised by how hard it is to find competent training, especially when you have progressed beyond the " what a beautiful stick figure dear, the lines are so ... straight." Some Art classes in high school are being eliminated and often students can't afford private or semi-private lessons. My son, who is a good artist and loves to create, is frustrated because in many of the colleges he looked at you could not take any Studio Art classes beyond Intro Drawing unless you were a Art major. He went to a Fine Arts high school and completed a concentration in studio art but in college he chose to major in Math/Linquistics, another passion of his. However, he still wants to advance his skills in Art as that is what he loves to do in his spare time and he has little resource. Sites like deviantart.com have been very helpful. If he creates something on the computer it is easy to share and if he creates on more traditional media, he scans or takes photos to share. Other artists on the site give feedback to each other and it serves to encourage and validate what for most of them will always be a passionate hobby and not a "put food on the table kind of job." I believe that is the reason for most of the art we have seen today. These people have day jobs or are young and just want to create. They know they will never be Picasso and most don't expect a ribbon or even know who is looking at their work; they just needed to draw and put it out there to the universe.

Even if by Cesarian section.

This comment is soooo not me, where's Chunkey when I need her, but watching the video, Sauli's lips, ummm, ahhhhh, okay, I'll just say it. They are looking mighty used and abused. There! I said it and now I'm leaving so no one says anything to make me feel like a perv

Adam was happy with his band mates because of their signs (as well as some other sub astrological stuff?) but to me that says that people born around the same set of weeks have something in common? IDK

I don't follow astrology as any more than a fun thing, BUT, my thought on those that do has always been, that "the moon and the stars and the rotation of the sun and pull of the planets affects the tides and the behavior of animals. So why not the human animal also?" I am open about it. I actually find thinking about how the pull of the planets and moons affect us way more sensical than most people's believes about religions. :-/ ETA: And if anyone has any doubts about what a full moon can do, I invite you to walk through my mother's nursing home on the night of a full moon! Don't even have to look at the sky or a calendar to know there is a fullmoon!

Even his own brother once said in a tweet something like "Astrology is bullshit--sorry, Adam." I'd be willing to bet that Eber's not a fan of astrology either. As long as I don't see signs of cruelty in Adam--and I never have--I accept that there are some things he likes and believes that I don't like or believe.
