All sales will count by soundscan, so i-Tunes or AO, for the album, really doesn't matter. But, I know what you mean about getting it into the top 10. I always get an i-tunes version anyway because it is just easier for me to DL there then to put the AO CD into the computer and transfer it. But that's just me. Adam is not the only artist I have done that for. I keep my CDs in the car and DL from i-tunes, just works for me for my MP3s version. Ya, I know, it's weird! ;D AO will most likely have special editions with things you can only get at AO. I am so excited! (Have I said that yet?!) My only question with this is didn't it work out that for FYE some of the albums shipped earlier from AO and therefore didn't get counted in soundscan for the release week? OTOH if I'd gotten the album early I would have been a very happy camper myself I do not believe AO.com (Sony Play.com store) was the cause of the early sales. There is a provision for direct resellers to report CD's based upon expected not actual receipt date. Amazon orders also often arrive early. Most likely, these early sales were done in a physical store. ----- Regarding AO.com diverting sales from iTunes, it will not matter that much. They do not sell that many units there. If they manage to sell 10K in the US, it will be great. Plus, most of the AO.com album sales are CD's not digital. And since iTunes will probably have some exclusive tracks and AO.com have some special bundle, many/most core fans will buy both.  ----- Single cover is just a marketing tool BUT it will be on a CD single in Germany/Austria/Switzerland. |

OK. So call me confused. Do we know for sure the nature of the Bruno Mars collaboration? Peeps seem to picture them on stage together but I think it might be a song contribution and not a duo. Did I miss some confirmation in one of the press releases? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? No, people just speculating – doing what we do best.
