Oh, I am not guessing adds or spins until RCA says what the add date is. Regarding royalties -- There are royalties for track sales to the artist and to the songwriters. The 19R contracts are around 9 cents per track sale for the artist, more if they also wrote the song. There are also performance royalties which are really complicated --- I found a basically correct summary here: entertainment.howstuffworks.com/music-royalties7.htmETA: Radio play could be $.13 gross --- but Pop music has so many deals and is so expensive -- I would bet that Adam gets little NET. The main money is in touring and appearances, That is why Adam was publicly at so many clubs after concerts. ETA#2: My take on MTIKM -- it will be big on Top 40 in NE and SE US, and Canada. It will be on HAC everywhere. It will not get much airplay on stations like KIIS FM Los Angeles until it is in the Top 20 Mediabase Pop Chart. I expect to hear it on my Ohio KISS stations and on my Tupelo KISS station. The song is made for Z100, Q102, WSRW, etc -- will have a harder time in the West coast markets.

FYI - I just saw a tweet from Claude Kelley so I decided to tweet him & ask who wrote the bridge in BTIKM? He tweeted back that he re-wrote it to suit Adam's style. Sorry - I don't know how to copy & paste the tweet here. I'm lucky I can even post a smilie now & then. :

ok guys got a question for you.... In reading a few other boards, I keep hearing that this is a HAC song, but maybe not a pop song. I rather disagree with this mostly because it is sung like a pop song and it has a distinctive beat to it. Its not uptempo, but every song on CHR doesn't need to be uptempo. I'm curious of the opinions of those who listen to top 40 on a regular basis. I can hear this on my top 40 station. I'm starting to second guess myself now. I think the HAC comments are mostly from MJ's and it's being a bit passive aggressive by fans of other idols. I read them on Pulse too... Am I nuts. This seems like a classic CHR midtempo song.

If could do well on HAC too but anyone who says it's strictly a HAC song is either deluded or butthurt. This would def fit in top 40. EDIT: Oh and apparently Pulse is a hotbed of butthurt from stans of other artists. I don't go there but ppl on my twitter feed do and they talk abt how Kelly Clarkson stans are ripping into him and etc etc. It's like that everywhere. Everyone's stans constantly feel the need to rip apart the perceived competition. It's kinda ridic. And it totally is CHR mid tempo. It's freakin faster than WWFM and waaay more current sounding. Another reason I cringe when I see music sites call it a ballad. It's not a freakin ballad at all but whatevz.

It is pop, but HAC plays a lot of non-urban pop so it should do well there also. But, yes, MJ crowd is working hard to say something bad about it!! ;D ;D ;D

I think I'm just on mental over load. The two songs that keep swinging back and forth in my brain are Rhianna's We Found Love (the vid for this reminds me why I never want to relive my teens and early 20's) and BTIKM. Ugh.. I'm sure to have some weird ass dream tonight.
