ok guys got a question for you.... In reading a few other boards, I keep hearing that this is a HAC song, but maybe not a pop song. I rather disagree with this mostly because it is sung like a pop song and it has a distinctive beat to it. Its not uptempo, but every song on CHR doesn't need to be uptempo. I'm curious of the opinions of those who listen to top 40 on a regular basis. I can hear this on my top 40 station. I'm starting to second guess myself now. Ignore the boards. Let's see what CHR will do. I am betting that this song will do well. |

FYI - I just saw a tweet from Claude Kelley so I decided to tweet him & ask who wrote the bridge in BTIKM? He tweeted back that he re-wrote it to suit Adam's style. Sorry - I don't know how to copy & paste the tweet here. I do think this has a bit of an R&B sound to it that might help. It also depends on how hard RCA werks radio and what kind of deals they cut with them or payola or whatever. I dunno wut labels do to get massive play, but I know they have to do a lot of wheeling and dealing sometimes. I hope they can get this to undeniably smash so that his second single can get played automatically. |

If could do well on HAC too but anyone who says it's strictly a HAC song is either deluded or butthurt. This would def fit in top 40. EDIT: Oh and apparently Pulse is a hotbed of butthurt from stans of other artists. I don't go there but ppl on my twitter feed do and they talk abt how Kelly Clarkson stans are ripping into him and etc etc. It's like that everywhere. Everyone's stans constantly feel the need to rip apart the perceived competition. It's kinda ridic. And it totally is CHR mid tempo. It's freakin faster than WWFM and waaay more current sounding. Another reason I cringe when I see music sites call it a ballad. It's not a freakin ballad at all but whatevz. I actually think it is a mid-temp ballad but that means nothing. As always - don't believe everything on Twitter. I read Pulse all the time and it has intelligent and knowledgeable posters. Most do not care about Idol.0000 Regarding the Pulse Music BTIKM Thread -- there is one Kelly fan who posted in the BTIKM thread after the full song was out and 11 total comments after the full track was out -- a mix but not a bunch of people knocking it. |

Yes, wifey is a member but mostly just reads. And I hear her laughing (actually guffawing) a lot so I sneaked it when she went upstairs. Looks like this is a fun place.
Daughter also loves Mr. Lambert so I am outnumbered. Better to join them than be an outsider.
Again, won't be an active poster and like wifey will check in to see what the fun is all about.
