You know....Adam has had to deal with the "Idol stigma" and all of that. However, one great thing that comes from Idol is that a big chunk of his fandom are some serious power voters and shit like these radio station polls fall down before us!

Sweet. I know I'm late to comment but what an adorable group - and the thought of tall, commanding Adam surrounded by a band of fierce tiny musicians makes me smile. (As they rehearse for performances next year, I hope they can arrange the songs so it's not wall-to-wall backing tracks. Not my favorite thing when I hear a band live.) sorry to have to break it to you, but almost all pop music performed live has backing tracks. They may not be necessary for an old style rock band that uses only drums, bass, keys and a couple of guitars. And WGWG only need an other couple of WGWG. But, pop recordings often have full orchestras backing, plus all sorts of electro effects, synths, etc. it would be prohibitively expensive and compicated to tour with all that personnel. Some years ago I saw Manheim Steamroller in concert with a full symphony orchestra behind them, and they still used backing tracks for some of the electro sounds. I am afraid we will have to live with them unless Adam does a fu ll acoustic show or retro rock. |

So this Orlando station MIX 105.1 (I'm assuming HAC) says they played it yesterday and put out a blog asking if they should do so again. Peeps are voting but it has only 1 comment. Is anyone on twitter organising state lists so that we get locals to comment. As Toby says it's al part of the radio game. I don't know if they are organizing state lists but @requestadam I think is trying to track and spread info about these. Thanks, might be great to keep a link to @requestadam on the front page? Winning these polls and playing the radio game might be a pain but besides the radio spin there is a lot of publicity spin off that is important in getting the word out and attracting non-stans. For example, the last three tweets from Q102 tonight were about Adam. Take a look back and see if they did that for any other artist recently.
