Well, Sauli isn't shy to show some skin even in public so I kinda think Adam could have learnt now to relax in private situations to follow the lead LOL. And Sauli blogged earlier last week that he(they)'d been in sauna - so there was a practise one for Adam so he knew what to do and what he'd have to endure. (heathwise, it's hot in Finnish sauna). Hmmh, I wonder if they had vasta/vihta what ever that is in English. Experience to the fullest LOL. May I refer you to Adam's early Burning Man photos and his Zodiac performances - I do not think he would need Sauli's help to not be shy ;D : Oh sorry, forget then about Sauli.

Book: The Drunkard's Walk: How Randomness Rules Our Lives by Leonard Mlodinow Movie: Hanna Album: Foster the People Single that is not Better Than I Know Myself: Sexy and I Know It but probably because the first time I heard it was on an Adam fan vid and the visual has stayed with me. ;D Plus it is fun and does not take itself seriously. *wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle*

Guys a new member asked this on the "How to do thread"
"I have a question, I opted in for 'mass emails' I assume that means I will get messages when people reply to me in threads or do I have to do something else?"
I don't think we have this option here at Atop, getting messages when people reply to us, am I right? What does this "mass emails" option mean on our profiles, does anybody know? Maybe Q3 ?

Just want to mention that my comment about the naked Adam (gosh I love the way that sounds!) had nothing to do with shyness. Adam shy? No way! It had everything to do with his celebrity. I would guess that every celebrity that ever had a naked photo show up somewhere thought they were in a 100% safe situation at the time. If I were a big celebrity, my nakedness would be confined to home. Maybe I am just paranoid? :-/ I don't think Adam is shy either. I do think he is hypercritical of his body. I, also, get the impression that many gay men have different standards for beauty than most women (like me) who think Adam is drop dead gorgeous.

With a lot of gay men that I know, there is "thin" and then there is "gay thin" -- this is only intensified when one lives in Hollywood. I used to live in the West LA area, and it is really difficult to feel good about yourself if you are overweight or out of shape there (at least it was for me). I am old enough now not to care, but at the time I was in my late 20's and living in Santa Monica (next to the beach) and many people judge you on how you look there.
I think Adam's body image is definitely affected by 1)being a gay man in So. CA, 2) being in the industry and living in So. CA and 3) just being a human with some past weight problems.
He is gorgeous -- but don't we all become more critical of ourselves sometimes?

You speak so much truth revlisacat. Moved out of So CA in my late 20's and was happy to escape this bit. After sitting through the recent gift extravaganza with my 7 year old... I have new fan expectations, I want 1) a nice dance hit and 2) want that hit on Just dance 4.

"When he starts having public fights with Sauli without benefit of alcohol THAT is when I will be squicked out."
Just saying, though, that stuff that's happened under the influence still happened, y'know what I mean? I mean, I guess IF Adam and Sauli had another public fight (hope they don't), whether they're drunk or not, I'll still feel a little - something not good.
"It was ill advised and ultimately embarrassing but to think of either of them as abusive based on ONE widely misreported incident is in many ways irresponsible as well."
Just to be CRYSTAL- clear, though - the poster you directly responded to didn't say "abusive" - instead: "doesn't sound healthy" and "icky feelings" - not to say that you implied otherwise, it just can feel that way though when one response follows the other.
"I don't think I have ever attended any kind of party or get together that involved alcohol that didn't have at least one incident that could have been reported and blown out of proportion in this same way."
*sigh* I really don't get invited to very exciting parties, truth be told.
"A couple of weeks ago the morning DJ at the station I listened to asked for people to call in if they had ever started a fight with their significant other for no reason whatsoever just to have make-up sex. He was absolutely blown away by the number of women who called in saying that they would start fights with their partners just to "spice things up". Some even admitted that they kept pushing to the point of physical pushing and shoving in order to get the kind of hot physical sex they were looking for."
Don't have any particular response I want to make to that, but - again - pretty damn interesting.
