Nikki, it's amazing that our paths probably crossed between Melbourne and Sydney. I was at all 3 Oz concerts. I've checked out the page you referenced, but there are a LOT of cheesy grins on that page...lol.... the ------> Adam effect in progress. I need more clues gurl as to which one is you! PM me with details if you want to. This is the sweetie that was next to me at the Sydney concert. OMG we both squeeeed our selves stupid, clutched each other and waved his boa around jointly...lol

I agree and I guarantee there are some vids out there. They just haven't surfaced yet. There may not be any pictures and videos. 1) It was 4am on a Thursday morning in December in Helsinki. There are very few people out at that time (I lived close to that bar for several years). And the bar had already closed, most people had probably left. 2) Those people who were there were most likely so drunk that they probably did not come to think of taking pictures or a video with their cell phones. 3) People who were sober such as the restaurant personnel know better than to take pictures or video and publish them. They would not have a job in the business in such a small city/country ever again. 4) It's not typical for Finns to intrude that way. 5) If there were pictures or video, they would have already been sold to Finnish tabloids. I doubt anyone would be in the process of negotiating with US magazines for the price. This starts to be old news. I may of course be wrong, but I sure hope that I am not. I guess a lot of the circumstances were different the night they met (obviously), but does it seem at all strange or surprising that there were pap photos of them kissing that night? I guess it makes some sense -- Sauli is well known there, and the press probably knew Adam was in town for the show, so when they were seen together they knew they had a story. But were they lurking in wait or what??

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG I went out today to look at cars as mine has been acting up. This is a big deal for me as I have never, in my 43 years, picked out my own car. I ended up getting a sweet 2000 SL500 Mercedes! It's totally cool. On the way home, I tuned the amazing sound system to the San Francisco station Alice. Sure enough after 3 songs, they said: Alice adds the new music first - Adam Lambert - Better Than I Know Myself. I turned the radio up, way up. The Bose subwofer is awesome. I cried my eyes out and sang at the top of my lungs. Truly fucking amazing!!! The first time I heard the new song on the radio and it's while I'm driving my new car home. Nice car , and how fun to hear the new song on the ride home !

Yep, I know what you're talking about, Ginger--rings a bell with me, too--just not loudly enough to remember where to start looking for that interview. The first year (Idol tour), I knew every confessional (besides the voice, those reaaaallly sucked me in) and I swear I had every interview memorized and knew every hair report for every concert. I coulda even told you which concert contained the "It's a lovely cock" quote! The second year, FS, RMT, and then the GN tour (Summer of Love 2010) I still kept up reasonably well. But the joy of seeing him live several times gave me new specific sensory memories that I could relive at will, thankfully, even if I could not remember every detail of every interview anymore. This year, RL crashed, and takes precedence, and even though it SEEMED like a slow year--like I said when I posted the 'Twas poem-- when you actually look back on it, he was busy. But I can't even pretend to keep track of everything anymore! I did have the Ste. Agathe concert in July to tide me over until the next time I get to see him live--what a trip!--and the EMA's was just SO amazing. But we have nearly 3 YEARS peeps--3 YEARS--of glorious singing and wonderfully funny and smart interviews--we haven't missed a minute of Adam's ride since he bitch-slapped Idol and started this wild ride! AREN'T WE LUCKY??? ;D Wow. That was a real tl;dr! All I really wanted to say was I can't recall which interview that was! For what it's worth, I remember the moment you're talking about, Ginger. It's kind of driving me nuts that I can't remember any details either. I feel pretty sure that it was a male interviewer, but can't remember if it was during the FYE promo period or during GNT, and can't remember whether it was a radio station, tv, or other type of interview. I'm SURE it wasn't during the Idol tour; it was more recent than that. And I know it wasn't a print interview! I remember the interviewer saying that Adam was so open about everything, and asking whether there was anything Adam did not like to make known -- and Adam answered that when he was feeling negative he preferred to keep that to himself. It seems I'm just repeating what you guys have already said! My one suggestion is that it might be the FUSE interview? But I also feel it could have been one of many others -- the more I think about it, I think it must have been during promo, pre-tour. And I kind of feel like he was sitting at a table. So actually that rules out the Fuse interview -- there was no table in that one. Gah...whatever! Kind of a useless post, lol, sorry! ETA: I don't know if I'm right about the table -- maybe I should look at the Fuse interview...aarrghh Ginger, hoopla1 and ksha518, I don't think this is the one you are thinking of, but it's another example of Adam steering the conversation purposefully out of the dark and into the light and explaining that he really wants to create an atmosphere of fun and joy around him for his fans. The interviewer wants to explore what a heavy burden Adam must be carrying and you can see him almost going there then he instead explains that he wants to keep the fun facade in place no matter what is going on so his fans can have the experience he wants them to enjoy. It's almost like he went from boy to man after the AMAs. I have so much respect for the way he handled the aftermath. Remember how scared everyone was and he shows up on the View and won all the ladies over and joked about the situation and how much better we all felt. It was a gift to us and maybe a survival tool for him. And he succeeded. Look at all of his GNT shows. The joy was palpable at every single one. Including the slaughter house. Other singers may have bigger audiences, but I bet it's hard to find happier ones. the part is from about 3:00- 4:30 ETA: I loved your story yippie! Congrats on the new car that knows you better than you know yourself. ;D I'm always posting to a dead thread it seems.

And clearly I am always posting to a dead thread as well, lol. Thank you SO MUCH for posting that interview. No, it's not the one. But...it looks very much like it could have been. I was thinking after I posted -- and this interview reinforces the thought -- that the Toronto promo had some of the best interviews. I would almost bet that the one we've been trying to locate was from Toronto. I also think there were some great interviews in Australia and NZ. But there were a ton of thoughtful interviews in Toronto, it seems to me. Not sure I even saw them all, but the ones I saw were good. And I love Adam's thoughtful demeanor and incredibly articulate answers. I kind of miss this Adam! I know that's silly to say -- we just need to get some more great interviews for this next era. Anyway -- I started watching this interview at about the 3 minute mark, and watched to the end. And beginning around the 16 minute mark, Adam talks about meeting Justin Timberlake and having a conversation in which Justin says that he can see Adam doing something like an homage to Freddie Mercury, not copying him, but putting his own spin on it....OMG, it was SO WEIRD to just randomly have that come up in an old interview given that it's such a current topic now. And Adam says that he is 'filing that away' for future reference! Anyway...thanks for posting that, Jamie.

Late and dead thread but I also found the DDD Adam thread interesting and valuable in the past as a lurker, and the posters knowledgeable on the whole. I haven't given up hope that once more new Adam live performances start rolling in, it may get interesting again even if a lot of scrolling around 'the elephant in the room' is required. midwivespal - your quote has always been perfect, and now even more so! Adam would play a good Byronic hero, until he broke character and cracked himself up

Adam would play a good Byronic hero, until he broke character and cracked himself up Lol, that's so true. When I saw the BTIKMS photo, I thought Heathcliff...would he be considered a Byronic hero? From wiiki: The Byronic hero typically exhibits several of the following traits:[2] Arrogant * Cunning and able to adapt Cynical Disrespectful of rank and privilege *Emotionally conflicted, or moody * Having a distaste for social institutions and norms * Having a troubled past or suffering from an unnamed crime * Intelligent and perceptive Jaded, world-weary *Mysterious, magnetic and charismatic *** Seductive and sexually attractive * Self-critical and introspective ?Self-destructive *Socially and sexually dominant *Sophisticated and educated *Struggling with integrity (musically) *Treated as an exile, outcast, or outlawadded: Likes to grab crotch Enjoys camp Has a fondness for leather Shows an affinity for pretty androgynous elves ksha518, good find with the Freddie thing. His life does sometimes resemble a fated tale.
