where did the sales number of 39K this week for BTIKM come from? I can't find a source and don't want to repeat that information elsewhere without confirmation that it's accurate. The last I heard, it came from an examiner article

Ok I just did some googling and seemd Vanilla Ice didn't get sued but he didn't obtain permission and didn't credit and most likely had to pay a shitload of money to Queen as a result.

I'm not linking this but if you head on over to DDD's music forum Gregsynthbootlegs has recorded a conversation he had about Adam's TSMGO performance and put it on youtube. Greg is Freddies biggest fan and is always going on about how Adam is off pitch when no one else on the forum can hear it. I'm interested to hear Cassie's response on this. Actually they were saying he was off key because he went too high on the high notes. He has no soul because his singing is effortless and oh yeah, he has a goat vibrato. Basically they think he sucks but I am not even going to bother to comment because I could only listen to about 3 or 4 minutes considering none of them seem to be able to string together an intelligent coherent sentence. I think they are actually looking for fans to blast them so they can laugh about supposedly clueless people defending Adam. He called it a debate but there was no debating going on that I could hear and oh yeah, one of the debaters was just 14!

I kind of check there every once in a while now but basically they aren't going to be satisfied until Adam does something that THEY consider rock in their own tiny minds and it seems they subscribe to that sad formula which says that unless you sound like you are passing a kidney stone you can't possibly have any soul. I think Adam is actually too good for them to be able to appreciate although they do acknowledge that as far as technique goes he's a beast.

Yes, for many of them if Adam does not wail or hit the high notes it is not good enough and he wastes his talent. They thought OoL is lame and BTIKM is generic and sounds like Daniel Badingfield (or however he is called).

I think the line from The Times article: "Two songs — including the album’s clubby title track, which borrows its bass line from Another One Bites the Dust — were recorded in Miami, with Pharrell Williams producing."
Was not intended to be taken literally, and
Was an attempt to tie the Adam EMA performance to Adam's new album, and
Is part of the effort to connect Adam to a UK icon artistically, and
Was intended to be a compliment, AND
Was non intended to be taken literally.
And, as I recall, Adam joked about this exact line after the article was published. He got the compliment.

Adam mention in Huffington Post Gay Voices article: www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/29/21-of-the-queerest-songs-of-2011_n_1174321.html21 Queerest Songs of 2011 ( : title) 2011 was a great year for music -- especially music from gay, lesbian, bisexual, and trans artists. Before the year comes to a close, we're taking a look back at 21 songs from queer artists released in the last 12 months. Vote on your favorites and tell us what other songs from LGBT artists you couldn't get enough of in 2011 in the comments section below. ________ Lambert debuted a new track, "Outlaws Of Love," from his upcoming sophomore album due out in 2012. The singer says that he wrote this song about "acceptance" and how it feels like "no matter where you go or where you turn, sometimes it feels like you're running from the law."
