I like your take on it,and you might well be right- since I'm not watching AI, except bits and pieces here and there, the impression I got is that he is much more together in the pre AI clips and his illnesses/challenges have been played up for the storyline in the show, and I gather he is aware of that, that it's a game...you know, kind of like Gokey's grief, etc... I got that same impression. OOHhh, okay. I get it now. Interesting - I don't know. I did notice tonight that he had a squint thing going on for a moment that looked a little little like a spasm or twitch (did anyone else notice that?). Could've just been a reaction to lights or even just my imagination, I don't know. The only thing I know for sure is I personally thought he sounded better and came across as more likeable tonight than he has prior to - and the TPTB certainly could've crafted some of that for my entertainment . They can be so tricky. How long until Adam is asked specifically about James, I wonder . . . He'll have a good response, I'm confident! Adam didn't "break" Idol for me - it's more like, for me, when he was on it, it wasn't Idol. It was The Adam Lambert Show featuring Other AI Contestants. Adam never seemed like anything less than total pro from the first moment he was on - already a professional singer, just not a signed one. It broke for me last season because I could barely muster more than a passing interest in the contestants. At least this time, there's already some serious talent, diversity, and personality on the screen. |

I think when that inevitable question happens, he will probably answer it the diplomatic way he did last year when they were comparing that girl to him ? Siobah ? sorry, not sure how to spell her name... Does this mean that from now, for however long AI lasts there will be one contestant (male or female) who will be seen as the new Adam ?  8-)  |
