Hosted by Darren Criss, the special one-hour, one-night-only event will air at 8 p.m. Thursday, November 4. The special will feature an hour of killer Queen hits, performed by musical artists including Adam Lambert (“The Show Must Go On”), Derek Hough and Alexander Jean (“Another One Bites the Dust”), Fall Out Boy (“Under Pressure”), Jimmie Allen with Miss Piggy (“Crazy Little Thing Called Love”), JoJo Siwa and Orianthi (“We Will Rock You”), OneRepublic (“We Are the Champions”) and Pentatonix (“Somebody to Love”). Additional performances will be announced at a later date.

A Queen Singalong, eh? Should be fun! Of course Adam will slay TSMGO, although it isn't as well-known as the rest of the featured songs so it may not be quite as "singalong-able," even with the subtitled lyrics (not to mention the impossibility of most mere mortals being able to do any justice to singing along with Adam on such a difficult song). Pentatonix will be awesome on "Somebody to Love", and CLTCL is a good choice for Jimmie Allen - although Miss Piggy may "hog" the spotlight on that, lol. Fall Out Boy should do a good job as well. No real opinion on most of the others, but I'm sure they'll be just fine, or better than that. And if not - just sing along loudly enough in your living room - or wherever - to drown them out!

Additional performances will be announced at a later date. My first reaction? This is pointless! Adam Lambert has already done the quintessential versions of all these songs in concert. These other artists may be good, but they cannot measure up to what Adam has already accomplished. And, no. I am not biased. He IS that good! |

Well, I guess this will be good for those people that can't afford to go to a QAL concert. This way they still get to hear some of the songs.
And I agree, Cassie...he is THAT good. But I don't think the show is designed to look for a new lead singer...just to share the music. Unless Miss Piggy is applying for the job lol.
