I don't think the Hollywood/SAG strike would affect shows already filmed and in the can - which is the case with Clash of the Cover Bands. The walk-off is from current filming.
Also, for those trying to record/watch the Clash - I have satellite tv and pre-set to record the series to the satellite provider's DVR. I was able to watch on Wednesday night, but it was not recorded until today, Friday morning. I've no explanation - maybe there was a deal between provider and e! not to record until after x re-showings? As until e! sent it to youtube?
Oh, television used to be so much simpler when there were 3 or 4 channels, and your dad taped a mylar screen on top of the tv with green on the bottom and blue at the top b/c you didn't need color tv. I'm that old.

Just got home to this great news about the Queen Sing a Long! What a surprise! Adam will be singing the real tour de force song of the night. TSMGO A vocal masterpiece will be delivered, as usual. As for the others, they will al be good, too. Adam has nothing to prove. He's shown himself worthy of fronting Queen for years now.
AND YES, being on network TV in prime time will give him a huge audience, much of which has not seen him before. Maybe they'll buy some QAL tickets if QAL does do some US dates after their UK and European dates are done. Adam will blow everyone's socks off with TSMGO. He will pull out all the stops, I am sure!

The Queen singalong on ABC is great news! Though I may feel a bit overprotective of the songs that Adam has made his own by now, I totally get it that it is fantastic exposure for Adam. No doubt that he will nail it with TMGO.

I've been quiet lately. It's been quite busy and crazy, although I kept up with everything every day. Re the Pete and Chaston: I saw the announcement a while ago. So happy for them  Yes, Germany still has one year of payed maternity leave for women. For men there is also the option to take two or three month of parental leave. I'm don't know it you can split and share or so, but that is what I've learned threw my brother and his wife. It has become more common now for men to take paternity leave as well than it was in my dads generation. Mega late but my two cents on Adam and Demis duet: I thougt it was good. In my mind it was neither horrible nor breathakingly outstanding. Adam has really varied and interesting oportunities! Go get 'em Adam!!! |
