I can't believe that the label didn't vet the song? I thought the consensus was that this was a no-brainer to ease Adam back onto US radio in order to get acceptance for the "smash" dance tracks??!

I DON'T FUCKING GET IT. WHY CAN BRUNO MARS RELEASE BASICALLY THE SAME STYLE KIND OF SONG ONE RIGHT AFTER ANOTHER AND GET MAXIMUM PLAY BUT ADAM CAN'T RELEASE A SOLID SONG IN A SIMILAR STYLE?
That being said I think everyone is jumping the train to doom town a bit prematurely but it still stinks. It's not a bad song! And if Adam was to release one of is ott dance tracks then radio would be all WTF IS THIS? THIS IS NOT ADAM! THIS IS TOO MUCH OF A RISK! Guh. He really can't win with radio. I hope RCA works this ....I am rlly sick of people ready to call this a fail...

Did any of you see the exchange on twitter with a couple of Adam fans and a female PD? She's with KISS 98.5 Buffalo. She has some really upsetting things to say about BTIKM and it's chances on radio. Depressing as hell. She is not an Adam hater btw. She likes him - and that makes this worse. Just a couple of the things she said: The reviews from actual critics are not good. Only 131 plays in the entire country this week, 31 of those overnight
pretty much everyone I know in programming is disappointed. It won't go very far up the charts. Unfortunate because I'm a big fan of him as a artist! Is it better not to see this stuff? I don't know. I'm just putting it here to keep it real. This is one person's opinion and apparently she was angry at some fans. I don't think I believe her. Time will tell and it is too soon to know what is going on. Let's wait and see what happens. |

She does say that she talked to other radio people and they feel the same, so if she's not lying, others are sharing her opinion. However, let's not jump to conclusions. This is definitely not a good sign, but it does NOT mean the end of the song just yet. |

If WWFM had sold 12 million and IIHY had sold 10 million, radio would probably be jumping on BTIKM. In no way do I think this song is a fail! What I do think is RCA failed to do their fucking job! The HAC adds are over for the week. I don't think we will see a better outcome with Top 40 tomorrow. I wonder why they moved the Pop adds date up? I thought it was because RCA had received positive feedback or something like that! |

I think grain of salt, not that she isn't tweeting what seems true to her and perhaps to some others she's spoken with, but she's clearly a bit of an odd duck (a bit bipolar in her reactions) if you read her twitter, and isn't PD in a huge market. We do know some djs in much bigger markets who do like and spin the song. I'm just gonna wait and see, and do all I can do to support it with requests/voting myself. |

Just to clarify, I don't think the song is a fail. I love the song. But RCA's ability to only get it 4 adds on the official date is a huge fail. That is their job. And if the song wasn't going to be embraced by radio, well then that was job to know that.
Bruno had the best radio strategy ever-----he had two huge radio collaborations paving the way to his first single.

Mid tempo love songs. There never was a problem with him getting air play even before he was 30 MILL DL BRUNO MARS. |
