Just for comparison I looked at the other songs that had an impact date for today. The only one that shot out the gate fast is Train. I'm really going to try to not angst.

I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about this business, but something seems so strange about the release of BTIKM. I know they want to improve his position in Europe but we need more of this early promotion here as well. I don't think it will ever be easy for Adam here on radio.
I hope the video is released this weekend to jump start everything here and hope for better adds next week. If not better after two weeks, than I will really worry. Until then, will keep on voting on any challenges, requesting and doing that whack-a-mole on Q102.

I have a question for anyone who has a clue, (which isn't me right now). I know payola is illegal. But I hear radio stations giving away trips to the Caribbean, London (courtesy of...insert name of record label and it's never RCA). Isn't that kind of payola? A radio station is most likely going to play a label's artists if said label is providing things, like trips, to give away.

Isn't the "impact day" tomorrow?
IMO this was the logic:
WWFM did well = hit ----> What song on the album is a WWFM twin? -------> BTIKM is a twin to WWFM. -------> Lets make BTIKM a lead single.
Obviously (from all the feedback) this is not the best song, even by some accounts the "weakest" song...Given that - let's not angst and wait till wither it catches or the next single is released. The main thing is to get to the album drop in a good shape and seel lots of albums - again IMnotexoertO....
Some PDs will love it and some won't. It is BUSINESS, nothing else.
I am back to ZEN. As long as there is a tour in sight - I am happy. Not to mention Queen action later this year. Adam is not moving to his studio pad any time soon ;D

I have heard BTIKM only once on my local Top 40 station, but have heard The Wanted's song alot all of a sudden. I was surprised because I thought their TV debut of the song on Ellen was around the same time as Adam. |

Well, this certainly has been an interesting day. I'm sure that RCA is aware of this problem, and will deal with it one way or another. It is too soon to know what will happen. It may be no accident that Adam is doing a bunch of overseas promo at the same time. It is worrying, but the only thing we can do is continue to request the song and support it anyway we can. I'm not giving up on this song!!!

(In my heart of hearts I know Adam is fine-just-fine.
