I'm glad others have brought up Adam's weight and dress. I always like seeing Adam perform in skin tight clothes, so very sexy. All these layers now do what? Cover up extra weight? No, they make a person look bigger. And those platform boots don't help. He hardly moves around in them and all the layers. I just don't want to see him go the way of Elvis physically. Yes, I have gained covid weight too, but I am older than dirt and not a worldwide rock star. Yes, Adam's appearance on the Queen Singalong brought me back to why I love Adam, his VOICE! But coming in at a close second is his looks, his body, his movements.

He's always had his own idea about dressing for the stage. I don't recall that the stage clothes for the Original High tour were tight-fitting or particularly "sexy". He even took to wearing leggings under the shorts on one costume b/c certain fans in the front rows kept trying to look up the shorts.
Frankly, and as I told my husband after he came up with the "fat Elvis" thing, Adam looks like a normal 40 year old tenor with a naturally stocky build. I gave him the example of an operatically trained professional classical tenor we've known from the age of 12 to today at 40. I don't want to compare Adam to a diva who relies on body image. If he's healthy, he should embrace p!nk's attitude and work with what he's got.
As for the eye make-up, it's for the stage. He dials it up or down, depending.
Just my opinion.

kryptoman68, duh... of course! I remember I learned about "otters" about 2 years ago. Somehow I didn't make that connection. I focused too much on the rainbow colors haha

I think Adam is making a queer reference with otter pops. They come in uniquely different colors (and shapes)  Regarding Adam's looks... I miss the pre-Covid physical appearance in many ways, in fact I tend to feel very sentimental when I look at older pictures and videos. I have my opinions but I won't go into details anymore as it won't change anything and will only upset some people. The Vegas streams and the focus on his voice definitely re-calibrated and re-energized my fan heart. His voice is that good. Agreed. I’ve actually been thinking about this even before the conversation started. It’s natural for everyone not to be in the best physical shape considering we’ve all had a very difficult year and a half. Turning into an armchair psychologist - it looks to me like Adam is working overtime to hide whatever weight he’s gained with chunky outfits and over layered makeup and, to me, it has the reverse outcome - it just makes him more round that he really is. |
