As for the great weight issue, it's Adam's body and his decision. If we're looking for Adam with a body from ten years ago, I think it's not happening. Sure, I'd like to see him closer to those sleek and slim days, but I also think he looks just fine now. And that smile and personality and VOICE are all there. He may just do one last pre-QAL fitness push. We'll see. I don't think anyone has ever suggested it's anything other than his body and his decision, nor do I think anyone is suggesting he needs to go back to the body he had 10 years ago. I'm just perplexed because, unlike some other artists, Adam's appearance has always been a big part of his brand and is clearly something to which he pays a great deal of attention. I love Adam and will take him however he chooses to present himself, but I'm not gonna lie - I enjoy looking at him more when he isn't trying to cover himself with baggy clothes that do nothing to flatter him. He doesn't need to go back to skin-tight clothing, but more fitted and tailored (like what he wore for Starstruck) would make me very happy indeed. And I suspect we're more likely to get that kind of clothing if he drops the COVID weight.

Adam is really taking London by storm! Seems like the Brits love him. And those Twitter trends are a great bonus! Along with the increase in spins on his music. These shows really show his great personality. People see him for the first time and just fall in love. I was also puzzled as to why the judges didn't change outfits for each Cover Bands episodes. Doesn't seem like it would have been that hard. Lots of shows tape multiple shows in one day. I think Jeopardy does four a day or something, and the contestants always change clothes. Oh well. I just hope that Cover Bands is back for another season and that Adam is on it. We'll see. I have perhaps a different view on ‘it’s Adam’s body and his decision’ where his career, and in particular, where QAL is concerned. Adam is paid an extraordinary amount of money to front Queen - and Brian and Roger have loved and trusted him with their precious brand. Implicit in the contract between them must be the premise that Adam will present himself at the height of his powers. Adam would be the first to say that the voice isn’t everything…being a frontman is a whole presentational package. And a job like any other, to be done as best he can in all ways. Of late, his performance and movement (eg Vegas) seemed adapted to his lack of fitness, his weight and his wish to cover up both his face and body. - (I think he said after the residency that he’d forgotten how much stamina was needed). There's still time Adam! Edit: and what cleopatra said 😀

cleopatra and SophieB, I agree with both of you. In my perfect dreams, he would be the pre-COVID Adam. When he finished that last QAL in early 2020, he looked great. He said the virus isolation hit him hard, along with the loss of his solo tour with Velvet. So many artists were affected by all that. We want that Adam who takes our breath away with his beauty and sexiness. I don't know if his QAL contract has a "weight" clause, but it might take some fans by surprise to see that he has put on some pounds.
I posted recently that I would love to see him do a bit of dancing again on his next solo tour. Like his LMD, Shady, Fever set. It really enhances the performance. I'm sure he's thought about this whole weight issue a lot. He has talked about his early struggles with weight. But, like the rest of us, he can't be frozen in time at that point where we like his looks the most. I'd love to see him be able to shed those long coats and shirts, too.

None of us know what advice Adam's medical or voice professionals have given him. Or how to get rid of the covid-15 or grow into it. Or how he needs the body to support the voice. (I don't have a voice myself, but I'm connected to professionals who do.) Just my opinion - but I think Adam will take care of his instrument/voice and ability to perform. As I remember, age approximately 40=45 was a shape-shifter for me.
