Adam Lambert fans gush as singer appears on ITV's Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway

The American songwriter took to the booth as the Star Guest announcer on ITV's popular Saturday night show.

The artist has sold over 3 million albums and 5 million singles worldwide since 2009.

As Star Guest announcer, Adam teased what viewers could expect from tonight's performance from Fleur East's Takeaway Rainbow to the popular feature Win the Ads.

And fans of the singer couldn't contain their excitement, taking to social media to share their thoughts.

Another commented: "Ah, I do love Adam…"

While a third responded: "Really hope @adamlambert performs in the EOTSS @antanddec".

EOTSS stands for the 'End of the Show Show' which this evening is the West End's own Mary Poppins The Musical.
