I too agree! He is the only singer so far this season who has really captured my attention. Yes, very different from Adam, but I found myself holding my breath while he was singing. Thanks for those Chatty videos yesterday - Adam is such a natural, and so captivating and entertaining on these shows. Those two make a wonderful pair! |

I really liked Douglas Mills Jr. too. Very impressive with a unique style. I don't think there has ever been a contestant like Adam on Idol so that is never a factor for me either.

Douglas Mills sure made a huge impression, and that is VERY important on Idol. Being different makes an impact. That song reminds me of Billie Holiday's Strange Fruit, not in sound but in tone and content.
Love Adam's playing around mouthing those lyrics and voices. He's so great at it.
Looking forward to the Rise Up Whih the Arts event on the 27th! Hope tickets are selling briskly for the Florida tour!

OMG! It IS Strange Fruit. I went and listened to Billie Holiday's original 1945 performance. So profound and sad song about the lynching of black men.
