It seems to me that the management and Adam are pitching him as more mainstream this time around. Hip, cool, now, but not freaky, hippie, OTT alternative. Seems like a very smart move. There is no denying his incredible voice, but if people are uncomfortable with the image or the perceived image, they won't take time to listen. If they think he is a niche artist for gays, they won't listen. If they think, "Hey, this is a normal guy like people I know, and he has the same experiences and struggles that everyone else has" they will fall for him.
I am so excited and so proud to be on this roller coaster.

Adam cannot make this first mv with gay theme. That would not be played in so many channels. :(. He wants to be main stream. And I really hope that Sauli would not do any other cameo, that would be so weird... :-/. On set, maybe, but in the other hand this work. I hope Sauli gets to watch a MV being made. It would be a great experience. But unless Adam needs lots of extras (like for IIHY) I doubt he would be in it. But what do I know?! (Nothing!)  I just hope whatever Adam wants, Adam gets! That's right  . BTW Sauli's been on one music video, so if he's on the set he can compare making a smallish Finnish production to the big American one LOL. Cristal Snow's Surrender, Sauli is one of the zombies. |

Ok, anybody else think this video is going to involve some sort of werewolf fantasy love story thing? Let me present you with the evidence. We have: 1. Adam's visit to the animal shelter the other week, which has like 7 wolves on the premises (that can potentially be used as extras). 2. The guy who tweeted about the music video says in his twitter profile "cinematographer, modern dancer, possibly a werewolf, but definitely the sorcerer's apprentice" AND he worked on zombie movies. 3. Adam, as we all know, was obsessed with the Bowie cover where he is half man half wolf. He definitely has this imagery floating in his head. Voila! Supernatural love story involving wolves. No, just me? Ok then. ETA: It's probably just wishful thinking on my part, I think it would be a pretty cool idea if done right. I think this would be a fabulous concept! - get around the "faceless gay lover" problem that america doesn't seem to be ready for. And the lyrics could really be interpreted to work this way - "I know it gets hard sometimes" - having a werewolf for a boyfriend CAN be difficult; "keep my mind off the edge" - things can get pretty tense when the moon is full; "I tried to convince myself it didn't matter if I was alone" - who could love this snarling beast, even if there is a heart of gold under the fur? Enter Sauli in his wolf hat! |
