I’d accept many causes for an extreme weight gain but the one that makes no sense to me is “turning 40”. Imo it’s the most ridiculous explanation possible, metabolic changes and all… Adam decided to go for a natural loss “by touring”. And it works. And we see the difference in his presentation on stage, he obviously feels more like himself now. Hope he’ll be able to maintain it past the tour or in the worst case go for all those vast body shaping resources LA and his wallet can offer. i was showing Nessun Dorma to my son, (who last saw Adam live at the MSG in Aug. 2019 - so that’s the “base line”.) First thing out of his mouth :”wow, he gained so much weight “.. and that’s from Italy! When we all think he looks awesome. Tbh, it was hard to hear … ya.. an adult… has his own parents…all true Yup. I saw recently that some research has shown that metabolism remains essentially the same from the 20s to the 60s, so this turning 40 thing is a myth. Of course, someone in their 20s might have a metabolism that makes weight gain more likely for them, and they might need to work a bit more to keep from gaining a lot. And I’ll bet Adam gained a lot - he has mentioned in some interviews that he weighed 240 lbs at some point in his teens. But yeah, that doesn’t mean he can’t get back into shape if he wants to. He looks better now than he did. And who knows why he gained so much. He’s s mentioned anxiety. People talk about the “Covid 19” (or 50!). But not all of us, worried or stressed or not, gained weight over the past 2 years! And we don’t all have his resources for nutritionists, trainers, etc. I love Adam and his personality and his voice, and I hope he remains healthy for a long time to come…

Tbh, it was hard to hear … ya.. an adult… has his own parents…all true Yep. I think it has worked to take off some of the extra weight he gained but not all. But I think when the rockers say touring keeps them slim, they are probably on the road for 6-10+ months. I don't think you can get there in two months without putting in some extra effort or change of diet. But I think when you need to move and dress the way Adam likes to (his looks and performance style certainly have been part of his brand), he will either think it is important for touring, tv gigs, acting opportunities or not. Covid took a toll on him in different ways. I want him to be happy and healthy but large fast weight gains don't scream happy and healthy at all. But we all love him and hope for the best for him.
