Me too. Like healthy alive Sauli with pretty pink lungs rather than gross tarred black lungs. When the U.S FINALLY cracked down on smoking and got healthy the Tobacco companies all started marketing hard in Europe and the rates of cigarette smoking went up there. So sad. I wonder if someone could ask Sauli about it next time he has a question session on his blog ? :  Someone asked earlier if Europeans have a different attitude about smoking and health than people in the US. I can only speak from my own experiences and perspective. In my opinion there are fewer smokers at least in the big cities in California than in Helsinki. I pay attention to that when I go back there. But Finns in general do not smoke THAT much. Teens people in early twenties do, but many quit when they get older / have kids. I don't have any figures, but it seems like the number of casual, social smokers has gone down there since the law changed so that you can't smoke at restaurants anymore. For a significant portion of the year it's pretty tough to go out to smoke. Again, according to my observations, for example the French and Italians smoke. Regarding Sauli, I asked in another thread (last week, maybe?) whether he really smokes so much. I have not followed him that closely for very long, but the only time I have seen him smoking was when they were leaving from the AMA after party. There was at least one girl with them who smoked as well. It was quite obvious Sauli had also had a few drinks, so to me it seemed like a social smoking situation. He doesn't have the voice or the skin of a heavy smoker. People have asked him soooo many times about smoking in the comments of his blogs, but he hasn't answered. |

We know there was at least on as that is when they discussed safe plucking!! Both of the ones linked to earlier contain that segment. Try the vimeo one that wonderstruck linked to. |

I think they sometimes use hotel conference rooms for press interviews. Maybe that's why he was at a hotel?

Social smoking is also really hard to break because once you have a couple beers or a cocktail you CRAVE having a cigarette and nothing feels better than smoking at that point. I smoked socially from age 19 about 26. But I had a super healthy boyfriend who's father was a doctor and I broke the habit. Still to this day give me a couple of drinks and I start thinking cigarette. CRAZY. Interesting that pot is actually not as bad for your lungs and it is cigarettes that are legal. But we all know what would happen if pot was legal. Americans would all start smoking pot, start caring less about being better than the Joneses, and start feeling satisfied without nonstop material aquisition. The economy and the country would most definitely go to hell. |

I've searched for these before, to no avail. i've actually never seen him interviewed by Leno but I've seen a pic of him in the chair, so he must have been. I'm only pulling up the back stage stuff and songs. I'd love it if someone knew where to find them!! I'm pretty sure that Jay only interviewed Adam once, back when Jay had the 10 o'clock show. Unfortunately, I can't find that interview on YouTube. Adam also appeared in a little skit on Jay's primetime show (not the same episode on which he was interviewed) that you can watch here: Adam has been on The Tonight Show twice since Jay was restored as host, but he wasn't interviewed, he just performed (Sleepwalker and If I Had You).
