PS…re: Grohl/Brian/Roger friendship. The first night of the Apollo Hammersmith concert, I think it was Dave Grohl that sat in the row behind me ….just over my right shoulder ….along with Geffen ( producer of Live Aid) and someone else. I have the pic of Geffen and the third person! I just checked that pic …but Grogl was cut off…as my focus was actually on sneaking a photograph of the Lambert Family, Sauli and Danielle at the time. I knew the name Geffen, when people recognized the trio. One was a famous drummer/guitar player. But at the time, the name was not familiar to me. Bamafan by chance sat right beside me on my left. She may remember the trio behind and to our right. The Live Aid guy was Bob Geldof. Geffen was the name of a big time record exec and he may have been there too. Oh thanks, I was hazy on the name ….should have googled but was too lazy/ late at night. It would only have taken a minute…as I already took a minute to locate the picture. I will correct my post. It was definitely was Bob Geldof. I checked images on google and my picture. Geffen was not the other guy….unless lost hair and weight. |
