OMG Lakato!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Long time no see! Literally! Lakato and I shared a hotel room when we both went to the FS concert back a million years ago. We'd never met each other and just worked out the logistics on the old PF site. Thanks for being a great roomie and for not killing me in my sleep! if I remember correctly we flailed/stalked/partied most of the night...and not much sleeping was done!! Hope to see you again at a concert SOON!!! I would think Adam will need to do a few one offs to get ready for the next tour! From your keyboard to the universe's ears. It's been far too long without a concert!

lakato!! Your name sounds familiar. Did you used to be on Planet Fierce? LOL, nvm, while I was rambling, you and NoAngel sorted all this out. HI!!!! Welcome!! Happy birthday Shev66 and glamplz!!!French photoshoot is not my favorite either. I think it's that the lighting is so stark and flat, like the shots where taken in an operating room or something. It's just not at all flattering on anything – the clothing, the setting, Adam ... like glaring florescents. Really bizarre for what was probably a lovely Paris hotel room. Skylar, LOOOVED your post. During a conversation this morning about why some people have a compulsion to spin worst-case scenarios, I was talking about how I think they think it protects them from pain and disappointment. If they don't have any "expectations," or they've already "anticipated the worse," they won't be hurt or disappointed. Well, I've always thought this was a sham and if people can TRULY pursue something with optimum passion and not get hurt in the process, I say more power to them. I cannot. I think to REALLY aspire to something you have to put your heart and soul into it and with that risk comes the risk of getting hurt if it doesn't work out. It's the same as a love relationship. I think all of us have been there. You have to invest. And the greater the investment, the greater the risk. Adam poured every bit of his creativity, energy, mind, heart, body and soul into this project. He is completely invested. And since we're obviously so invested in him, so are we. Of course, everyone has different definitions of what quantifies success. I think most of us agree that if he is well received and is able to keep doing what he's doing, that's major. I think most of us want the rest of the world to see what we see in that his talent and courage are exceptional and undeniable. Will that happen? Certainly not unilaterally. Adele, for all her success, isn't unilaterally loved, no one is. But I'd still love for his hard work and talent to be rewarded with all the monetary and critical accolades I think he deserves. Getting back to those who spin worst-case scenarios, IMO, it comes with risk, because it constantly throws negativity out there and often worst-case scenarios become self-fulfilling prophesies. ETA: Rabbitrabbit, yes, detachment this key. However, that has been one thing waaayy easier said then done for me. I'm still in the aspirational phase with that one.

Fun to read everyone's expectations and hopes for Trespassing. Honestly, if the album can do as well as FYE, I will be happy. Of course, I am hoping it can go platinum, stay on the BB top 200 for a year, and give us 4 singles. That would be incredible. Oh, and a GRAMMY nomination

Random thought to bring to slow thread....today Madonna's song 'Rain' came up on my ipod and I was thinking that's the kind of production I'd like to hear on OOL. It's a ballad but it has electronic elements yet it doesn't feel *cold*. IDK. I like it....either that or something sparse and stripped down, tho with the description of--Underneath was it?--I doubt if OOL made the cut that will be stripped down to.
