Good Lord are we really hashing it out about whether it's okay to say if we think a performance or a music artist sucks or not? ... (Nope Not what I'm talking about. Squewing my words, if it is my words you are talking about.)There. Is anyone scandalized? (Um No)If so....oh well. IMO anyone who tries to play nice to everyone and make everyone happy and never try to get anyone upset is boring. And their Mama thinks they are boring too. Not talking about playing nice to everyone and making everyone happy. Again, not my words. Unless you are talking about someone elseWE ONLY LIVE ONCE PEOPLE!!! WE SHOULD NOT STAND FOR SUCKAGE! WE SHOULD LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD!!1 Go girl! Suckage sucks! #REALNESS #REALNESS=b Sorry that that is how you hear my words. That interpretation is not the original meaning at all. Best!

I respect your opinion, but I'm not entirely in agreement with you. James is a singer and his performances are subject to the same critical reaction as other singers, disability or no. Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder were not exempt from criticism of their music because of their disabilities'; their musical performances were judged on what they delivered on stage. And that is the way James should be judged as well, IMO. If Adam tweets that a performance by James is "great", I think the folks here have a right to express their agreement or disagreement, just as they would with any other artist. I do believe that personal slurs are uncalled for, but I don't think anyone here is doing that. Sorry for disagreeing -- no offense intended! No offense taken at'all. I am not talking about expressing agreement or disagreement with Adam or critiquing his vocals. I think people know what I am talking about. I am NOT judging people here. And I am NOT a pollyanna. Just requesting we be aware. And again, it is simply a request. I love you and love your posts, but I don't think your request is in keeping with the spirit of Freedom of Speech.

Wait, JD had something to say about Adam's hair?!? What? Where? I think I remember someone asking him about the Queen appearance and not sure what he said about that but then said Adam's hairdo was UGLY. I think I saw it on Twitter, not sure, was few weeks ago. Good grief you guys...half the fandom said that...LOUDLY!! seriously...he couldn't have said anything worse than what was coming from this very board..... : :-/

You are not the specific person I am responding too---I am responding to the discussion and to the general debate about whether or not it's *mean* to have an opinion that Durbs sucks and whether or not we can say it. I am eve seeing quite a few tweets on twitter saying we shld play nice. Erm....no. LOL Susie ITA with everything u said.

Gelly posted this earlier: citygirl36 Nadine Sauli's photographer ~ "via OOFTA"??jasminesafaeian.tumblr.com/post/157688165… 5 minutes ago jasminesafaeian.tumblr.com/post/15768816511Sneaky peeky. Phone photo of my camera screen from yesterday¢s shoot with Sauli. (via OOFTA) ******** The photographer put via OOFTA and I still can't figure out how this OOFTA ties in with everything since Sauli and Adam are joking about/referencing it. Know it isn't important.....just curious about the whole thing as he did seem to have a version of it written on his hand...guess I should just let it go...like the old saying...curiosity killed the cat

neurodiversityI don't think Durbin is the only one dealing with it. James is the first star performer to be open about his neurodiversity from the very start of his career. I think one of the reasons Adam Lambert may have said some negative things about James is that he is jealous that Durbin had the integrity to be open about who he was from the start of his American Idol, and that he was allowed to be by Fox. Adam was only able to come out as gay after losing on American Idol. ~ Jim Cantiello Landon Bryce thautcast.com/drupal5/content/watch-james-durbin-and-gays-talking-ellen-and-about-adam-lambert
Edit to correct author of quote.

If this is how you interpreted what I said I am glad you said something but I am sad because that is not at all the meaning of what I said. I am talking about a choice, not a withdrawal of freedom. Everyone is free to choose or not. Some will squew my words as being judgemental and place me in the annoying pollyanna box. But, I am not judging. I am hoping. And I am far from a pollyanna

I have to confess, I can never pick out the "non-native" speaker. It's always a surprise to me when it is mentioned. Let me point out that all of you using English as your second (third, fourth or fifth) language are also WRITING and SPELLING -- good lord, I am so envious.
And, I agree with a few other posts that sometimes what is posted by someone leads to other things being said. It prompts something else we've read or heard or questioned somewhere else. Most of the time I appreciate when something new comes up and we can "debate" it -- which, I must say, we seem to do very well. I feel like it's truly all in fun and very rarely do I get the sense that someone is being personally attacked. One may not hold the most popular opinion but it's the opinion and not the person that is being questioned. I think we have all had to duck a few times....
