I don't think it's much different than the bus driver or assembly line worker who bitches for 30 years about going to work every day then retires and can't stand it so goes to work at the Seven/Eleven 3 days a week. Well, maybe it's a little different, but many people don't do well sitting at home, unless they fall down the rabbit hole and can't fit a job into their busy stanning schedule. Speaking of other artists who tour again after many years, Madonna explains why she's doing it this year--money! WE (her new movie project) evidently cost her a bundle. What she says about touring is funny--and so are a lot of things in this interview. (If you're bored...) On topic because I swear I counted at least 5 things that reminded me so very much of Adam--protecting the children stuff, infinity/energy with live audience, fans respecting (or not) artist's process (i.e. WHY are they so impatient? lol to that), celebrities being reduced to oft-repeated adjectives that aren't nec. true... And I can't wait to see Adam on this show sometime! He would really have fun with Graham! (and vice versa) www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkyNo26NDoU&feature=relatedHas Madonna ever talked about her love of performing? I've never seen her in concert but I've liked the documentaries I've watched. She absolutely appears to be very prepared and professional. I was just wondering if she was touring simply because she misses being on stage. I read somewhere that she now tours with quite a few people that help her maintain a manageable level of pain due to years of dancing and running -- massages, and ice cold baths, and whatever else one does to stay flexible and pain-free (?). I just remember thinking that here is a woman who has kept very good care of herself and still she deals with the joint pain, etc. I give her a lot of credit. For me, her concerts are just too big and expensive. I just have never liked huge venues. Best concerts I ever attended Eurythmics (sp) at the Warner Theater, Cockroaches at American University (Rolling Stones), and, of course, Mr Lambert takes the prize -- Nashville, Lousiville and Evansville.

In our local paper this Saturday...a 16 page 2012 Horoscopes section, which I HAD TO READ to see how the stars would align for Adam (and Sauli). The first few months of projections.... I could not have written better myself. And since Adam and Sauli did spent some time discussing astrology in their first encounters......And since I do not have the creativity of noangel and juniemoon...(by the way ...especially well done this week you two!!!) .... here is what was written for an Aquarius: JanuaryVenus favours you, and you will attract partners, friends and FANS. Dreamy Neptune continues to highlight the role of innovation in your life. You’ll continue to come up with creative and truly unique solutions to life’s puzzles. FebruaryThe sun in your sign will help you realize how influential you really are. You’ll feel a certain way, and your feeling will be picked up, projected and broadcast throughout the universe. Use your powers for good! MarchIt will take courage to move your professional life and personal life forward. The prize will go to the one who either doesn’t fear rejection, or fears it but will go forward anyway. Your best days to take a risk will be the 18th, 19th and 20th. AprilThings are slightly hectic, but you like knowing that you’re in high demand. Loved ones need you and the boss finds you indispensable. And while you appreciate praise, ask for money, as well. ( haha!!!)And as per Q3, we could ask the universe ...that "M" not release on Adam's week! That gets a ton of berts!!!

Medley of We Will Rock You and We are the Champions by Michael Johns just uploaded yesterday. Having a hard time appreciating it after Adam's version. tinyurl.com/795jqoaSaid it before, will say it again, the DEPTH and the QUALITY of Adam's voice is so evident when someone else sings songs we have heard him sing. Others half speak/half sing, they clip notes, they throw away phrases that Adam embraces. It's like the difference between an outline and the entire novel. With Adam you FEEL what he is singing. Savvy - ITA!! I was listening earlier today to Queen's greatest hits. Freddie was a fabulous showman - loved watching some Queen performances on You Tube recently. But if you are just LISTENING, IMO Adam outsings Freddie - by a good measure. As big a thrill as it was for Adam, Brian and Roger must have been just as thrilled to perform with Adam singing that medley at the EMAs.

Okay, I finally gave in and listened. Meh. Had to play Adam at the EMAs to hear how it is SUPPOSED to sound.

I popped in to see if there happened to be any news today. I see you are discussing Queen and Adam at the EMA's a bit. Something from that performance that I love is the bow at the end that is on a fan vid. They are all so obviously high on the vibe of playing together and the audience reaction! Every time I watch it I get a little piece of that high. So glad that fan caught that moment for us all to see!
peace&love

Just catching up, and slow day is slow, eh? :( Oh well, we have so much to look forward to next week I'll try not to complain. I see there's been discussion of Adam and Sauli's meeting, and I just wanted to mention that according to Adam, he (Adam) had no idea who Sauli was before going up to him: news.advocate.com/post/11735531870/reinventing-adam-lambert-the-outtakesWhen did you meet? In Finland in Helsinki in a bar after a show I did there.
He is a reality TV personality in Big Brother — so he’s famous. Which is great because he understands some of the things I go through. It was an instant connection, but I didn’t know [that he was famous] until after we met. I approached him. There was physical attraction but also a great energy, like a glow. There was something very connected about the eye contact, the communication just flowed very easily. So I think that debunks the Crystal-as-matchmaker theory. I have no idea where I heard it (and so it may well have been gossipy gossip) but I read somewhere that Crystal spoke with Adam that night and asked Adam if he'd like Crystal to introduce him to any guys, and asked Adam what was his type. And Adam replied something like "I have a very specific type" and declined the offer, lol.
