Thanks for answering this. I might volunteer to be a PIA to remind people here to request (locally and at the optimal frequency of course :D ). Yes! Thank you for offering to be a PIA. ;D I really do need the reminding and appreciate it. I wonder how much the rise in twitter and Facebook use in radio has affected requesting since the FYE era? I often see DJs asking for requests via twitter and then played where the in no identifying city for the person requesting. In the case of facebook, many stations are trolling for followers/comments and I wonder if in these cases radio play is becoming more global/ less local. Did we become too skittish from the handful of Djs calling us out? It's al sooo confuuuusing ??? |

I don;t know what this is or who the other dude besides Brian May is but they did say QUEEN wouldn't be performing....if Brian was to perform with whoever this dude is separately then that still is true. Queen wouldn't be. It would be Brian and someone else. That is if this is even true. Medley of We Will Rock You and We are the Champions by Michael Johns just uploaded yesterday. Having a hard time appreciating it after Adam's version. tinyurl.com/795jqoaSaid it before, will say it again, the DEPTH and the QUALITY of Adam's voice is so evident when someone else sings songs we have heard him sing. Others half speak/half sing, they clip notes, they throw away phrases that Adam embraces. It's like the difference between an outline and the entire novel. With Adam you FEEL what he is singing. |

My story on my plunge down the rabbit hole: It started in January of 2009 when I first saw him in the AI tryouts. I commented to family that "the dark-haired, good looking guy with the spiky hairdo is the one to watch this season". Needless to say I watched every week and soon all my friends checked how I felt about his chances for a win. The not-so-fond fans speculated that he was gay, and I responded, "I'm not going to get a piece of him whether he is or isn't." By the time of the AI finale, I was deep into the RH. I even convinced my cousin who is the founder and CEO of the largest fashion school on the west coast to offer him a collaboration of his own choosing with the school (something she has never done with anyone else because the famous contact the school with requests for collaborations - i.e. Museum showings of film costumes, student design contests, etc) Adam/his management did not respond to the offer. I joined several fan clubs and received Glambert # and really liked CandyGram until she closed it out. I now primarily hit Atop, twitter, and Adamblogspot24/7 every day which takes about 2 hours. I also check the fan club and AO occasionally. I attended 3 AI Concerts and 7 GNT Concerts. I regret not going to Fantasy Springs. I went across country by myself to many of the concerts and only wish I had attended more. I have Adam's signature in 3 places on a hand drawn likeness of Adam t-shirt and he signed it while I was wearing it. I also have his signature on RS covers and art plaques from the concerts where he came out after his shows. I always stayed until the buses pulled out and he always accommodated the fans who waited and didn't scream their heads off. That's part of my story and I'm sticking to it. HaHa. I love this site even though I don't know how to post pics, bring quotes, etc. Thanks, counselor for sharing your down-the-rabbit-hole journey with AFL. I got 2 mags signed by Adam and was hoping to have him sign the UK Sunday Times mag with him and Brian May on. I am still down here...   |

In our local paper this Saturday...a 16 page 2012 Horoscopes section, which I HAD TO READ to see how the stars would align for Adam (and Sauli).
The first few months of projections.... I could not have written better myself. And since Adam and Sauli did spent some time discussing astrology in their first encounters......And since I do not have the creativity of noangel and juniemoon...(by the way ...especially well done this week you two!!!) .... here is what was written for an Aquarius:

I thought Brian May has shut down this rumor on his blog I think it was in an interview but it was shot down. >> RCA Ed posted FYE sales were around 840,000 and it was selling <500 units a week. But there is no verification of this. So I will stick with the slightly lower number from November 2011. No matter which, FYE is not close to Platinum. ETA: Who is MJ????  michel john from season 7 .. and you're teasing... lol |

Oser of LehighValleyMusic: Adam Lambert Fails to Buy As Many Socket Wrenches As Selena Gomez. One of these days Lambert will live up to the potential he showed on American Idol and I won't come across as a passive-aggressive wanker, but today isn't that day.
