www.thefablife.com/2012-01-18/adam-lambert-dresses-down-for-tonight-show/Adam Lambert Dresses Down For Tonight Show Adam Lambert has said that his upcoming album, Trespassing, will be “an exciting journey through the past two years of my life.” Our first taste of that has come by way of his first single, “Better Than I Know Myself,” a mid-tempo ballad that features his signature confessional lyrics and soaring notes. But after he performed it live for the first time on The Tonight Show last night, we are curious about something: Was his completely toned-down outfit, a black tux and a white shirt with no tie (pictured right), a sign of things to come? It’s quite a different look from his typical performance-wear (left), but we don’t know if it was just for this occasion or if Glambert is making way for a more subdued, introspective Lambert. You aren’t shy, Glambert Nation, so let us know your theories! And if you missed the performance, a separate clip hasn’t been made available yet, so fast-forward to the last segment (38 minutes in) in the video below.

Quoting myself becasue I know we have a few lawyers as members and wondering what "unclean hands" means? Is it the obvious meaning, like basically, Colwell is a sleazeball, like we all have been saying?! :-/ In legal doctrine, "clean hands" has a specific meaning. It means that a person (in this case, Malcolm Welsford) who is asking for a court to grant him relief from a legal problem has to be innocent of wrongdoing or unfair conduct in the matter before the court. The wrongful conduct has to pertain to this matter, specifically, and it can be either a legal or a moral issue. In other words, Adam is going to assert that Welsford acted wrongly towards him in the first place and therefore is not entitled to turn around and act as if he is the wronged party. ETA: Wonderstruck beat me to it!

www.spin.com/articles/grouplove-adam-lambert-kathleen-edwards-mix-it-late-night-tvGrouplove, Adam Lambert, Kathleen Edwards Mix it Up on Late-Night TVBy Marc Hogan on January 18, 2012 9:43 AM A motley assortment of musical guests hit the late-night shows last night. Perky Los Angeles popsters Grouplove shone on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, former American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert brought a new single and a new look to The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, and Canadian singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards visited Late Show With David Letterman. Midnight becomes eclectic! Former Idol lightning rod Lambert returned to Leno with a new, choppier haircut, less makeup than usual, and a new single co-written by Dr. Luke, "Better Than I Know Myself." The track came out digitally on December 20, but according to the Hollywood Reporter it's the live debut of the song, from upcoming album Trespassing (due March 20). Unfortunately, General Electric's NBC legal team is hard at work yanking any video of the performance that doesn't force you to watch the entire episode (why not just post the clip yourselves, suits? If Kimmel can do it...), but suffice it to say Lambert hit the high notes on the blown-out mid-tempo anthem.

Thanks, wonderstruck!!! I still think this will not go to trial because Adam's lawyers are just too good. I think the countersuit will force Colwell to make a settlement. Hopefully the settlement will be that Adam gets the tracks and they can not do their sleazy act every 2 years.

Hey I just got here and I have to leave in a while. Who said that the couple had a drinking problem? Seriously? Have you EVER EVER listened to me say ANYTHING EVER about Adam and drinking problem? Search through my 10000 posts please and find one that I have said anything about it. Others may have not me EVER. NOT A SINGLE WORD. NOT A SINGLE WORD. EVER. You're reading TOO much to my post. And I'm not going to discuss anything else about it. Gelly, sorry!!!!! I was really referring to the discussions that were coming from your speculation of what Oofta meant. Do you want me to go back a delete my post? Because I don't believe you think Adam has a problem!!! Just pm me if you don't want to!

Belle, there's a "dictionary" of commonly-used acronyms (both Adam-related and also common internet terms) in the Announcements, etc thread: adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=announcement&action=display&thread=350Re the "Finland Daily Times", I don't remember seeing any reference to that except for my (tongue-in-cheek) Sunday article, which was meant to poke fun at various news outlets without using any real names. Definitely not meant to be taken seriously If tweets or links are posted that don't make sense, or if you're not sure who someone is, go ahead and ask. People here are lovely about quickly providing context and history for members who don't have photographic memories

lifetraveler - Thanks for the link about Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka. A bit OT but: They talk so beautifullly about each other. Burtka says for instance that "Without him I can't breathe. The biggest thing is that he makes me laugh, but he's also smart...". And they both admit that it's not perfect all the time and that to maintain a relatioship needs work. I personally agree with those who think the tats have some romantic meaning. I love NoAngel's theory. I like to think that if it is written OOFT as someone suggested; so it could be two rings + forever + togehter. But it's their secret and this is pure speculation! And the Leno performance: absolutely fabulous!

I am thrilled to read that Adam is fighting the sleaze bag and counter suing. When I read that they were settling, I accepted that the move was probably judicious, and would be less expensive than taking it to trial. But, it somehow felt like giving in, letting the sleaze win.
I know it is Adam's money, but, I would prefer that he spend twice as much fighting the bastard than he would if he settled with him. It's a matter of integrity and honor. Since Adam has "the best show biz lawyers in the country", I have to think that they believe they have a good case to take to trial, and that the trial will reflect well on their client.
I hope that either a.) the sleazebag and his lawyers realize Adam is not gonna roll over and play dead, so they drop the suit and/or agree to a settlement in Adam's favor, or b.) that the suit gets dragged out for a couple of years, totally bankrupting the sleazebag, and in the end he loses and owes Adam a gazillion dollars. That he is ruined in the biz, even the sleazy side of it.
Yup, it's a good day. Rock on with your bad self, Adam.
