Why did RCA/19/Adam decide to perform Acoustic Aftermath on Idol on March 10, 2011?

There are wins, win-wins but rare to see a win-win-win-win. Doesn't get much better than this.

1. Acoustic Aftermath is available as a single on iTunes and other digital music sites, so there is a single to sell

2. It will promote Acoustic Live EP.

3. And it will promote the new Glam Nation DVD+CD set which is on presale and includes Acoustic Aftermath.

4. BONUS: Adam will release a dance-mix version of Aftermath as a charity single benefiting the Trevor Project. The performance will build awareness of this important fundraising effort.

Now the big question is, “What will he wear?” My bet is that it will be the stripped back, natural makeup, Adam in leather.

Ok, Adam Lambert really has no business being in the title. If I had it my way the title would read “James Durbin Performs Judas Priest on ‘American Idol.’” However I love music and I love sharing music with people. I know the Adam Lambert fans are dedicated and will take the time to read any article on Adam Lambert no matter how dumb the article is. I try not to use Lambert unless I really believe in what I’m writing. So to Adam Lambert fans, check out James Durbin, while you’re there, check out bands like Judas Priest, Dio, Heaven and Hell, Black Sabbath, Rainbow etc. It’s hard rock and heavy metal, but I think Adam Lambert fans could appreciate these singers.

Why does this make me angry?

1. This article was written to get a high rank on Google – combine a newsworthy topic (American Idol) with a target keyword “Adam Lambert”

2. The author actually admitted the he was “using” Adam Lambert fans

3. He actually wrote that “Adam Lambert fans are dedicated and will take the time to read any article on Adam Lambert no matter how dumb the article is.” OK, sometime the truth hurts! He got me on that one. I can’t speak for anyone else!!

4. But what really got me MAD was he assumed the “Adam Lambert fans” – and that includes me – do not know “bands like Judas Priest, Dio, Heaven and Hell, Black Sabbath, Rainbow etc.” and do not like “hard rock and heavy metal”. WTF? Don’t go making assumption about what I like and what music I know.

So for me, four reasons for me to avoid Zoiksonline for the near future.

Just for once I wanna wake up in the morning, checking my Twitter and actually learning something NEW about Adam from Adam ;D Okay, we didn't know it'd be accoustic Aftermath, but we already had sort of guessed his AI appearance.

I had already seen the screenshot of his 900,000 Twitter followers.

We had already guessed he'd be working with Ryan Tedder.

We had already triangulated his vacation spot as Bora Bora....

Come on, Adam, twitter something that's actually NEW and a SURPRISE! A real surprise!

Adam on Idol is so fabulous!! I love acoustic Aftermath; I love the acoustic album. This is just the best news....and right the GNT DVD comes out. It's just good.

Cassie Your post made me think of the last time Adam was on American Idol. Right before the show started, the electricity went out in my city. I actually called my daughter's friends, who had recently moved from New York to a city adjacent to my own to ask them if I could come over to their house and watch American Idol on their T.V. I was just not going to miss that performance. I didn't even know them that well, but we became great friends that night.

Seeing Adam sing live on T.V. is worth doing whatever it takes.
