Someone posted this interview yesterday (NoAngel, I think) and I bookmarked it but didn't watch it until now. It's 24 minutes long. Hmmm, but entertainers work for just the exposure all the time and get no compensation. How does that work? (I'm not being snarky here. Just curious.) ETA: However, I'm sure Adam is getting paid a lot for Idol! They do get paid but it is so little in some cases that it is basically nothing. I think I heard that when Adam was on Leno he got paid about $2,000. If you think of travel, lodging, and paying the band; the night cost him way more than $2,000. He made nothing. No travel involved, for Leno, but I understand what you are saying. Oh, and I would be surprised if the performers on Idol do not get paid very well. Idol has the money to spend. |

They just leased that laser matrix for Adam. Why buy when you can lease? (Idol paid, Adam selected the company.) Adam did use the Idol smoke machines though!! Sorry guess I did not have my facts straight! Back to lurking! Guess they just leased it again for Xtina's performance. Adam almost drowned in that smoke..be careful what you ask for, or more importantly ..get a good guy to run the equipment! I think most of us wouldn't have known that they lease the lasers and laser crew for Idol except that Adam credited the laser company in one interview. As I understand it -- it is as much about the operators as it is about equipment. |

I see Perez Hilton (aka Mario or whatever his real name is) is giving our BB a lot of love these days.....even using beautiful pics of Adam when he used to post the most unflattering. So I guess this is the self-proclaimed "new" Perez, the one that is so sorry for past bullying. I call bullshit. I will never, ever respect this man until he moderates the ugly, vicious, hate-mongering comments that he allows on his blog. To allow it, is to condone it, and he can control hate comments the same way that many other forums do. SIMPLY DO NOT TOLERATE IT. He appeals to a certain demographic, and that is where he gets the hits on his blog and I must assume he likes it this way. Guy is a douche-bag.

I am glad you stuck your head in. I have missed you. I don't do twitter. One of the things that turned me off of Gokey(one of the many) was that he kept giving that heart message with his hands. It was part of a commercial for an eye glass company at the time of Idol and he kept wearing new eye glasses each week. I always thought that he was pimping for the eye glass company. Awww.. thanks cookiejar. I've been really busy with RL, but am makeing a point of checking in ATOP this weekend. Hope to be able to meet you again if I get to attend another concert over in you neck of the woods. Take care. |
