RL story - Had one of my dearest friends called me today to apologize - for NOT remembering to tell me yesterday when she called that, while out-of-town on Tuesday, she just happened to be watching The Tonight Show and saw/heard Adam sing for the very first time, and....she LOVED him!! I said that he did a really good job w/the song and she said "OMG - he sounded incredible!" And I mentioned how much I liked the suit, etc. and she said "he looked stunning!" She's so sweet; she knows how much I love Adam and she always asks about him and what's going on. I told her he would be on Ellen today and she was disappointed that she would not be home to see it. I told her not to worry - I had 2 DVRs set to record it and that both the Leno and Ellen performances would NOT be deleted anytime soon. ;D Anyway, she's not likely to buy his CD (she's older than me and her musical tastes lean a different direction) BUT, she does have grandchildren that she could um...."influence," shall we say. Maybe she'll buy the CD for them.  Anyway, her phone call really started my day off on an even happier note! Now, I need to get dressed and get moving; with the exception of her call, I haven't done squat in 2 hours. ;D |

Not really liking the whole two thread thing... it's hard enough to keep up with one! ITA! i am getting a bit lost myself. lol :X Yeah, but I want to wait and see it on TV!! Self-centered, I know but with the 2 threads there's a better chance that I won't see anything until it actually airs in my area. Also, keeps my head down working on RL things. j/s 2 threads work for me today. |

Not really liking the whole two thread thing... it's hard enough to keep up with one! I hear ya. Q3's thoughts, tho, were that with all the news plus all the Ellen squee, one thread would get unmanageably large. Folks looking for specific stuff from Ellen or from the UK PR would have to wade thru many pages. Maybe fine for today, but as an archive, two threads makes for easier reference in the future. I am loving that we HAVE ALL THIS GOODNESS. What a wonderful way to start the day. |

I have a somewhat cynical guess on why they lead with BTIKM. Also, BTIKM is 'easier' to perform live with stunning vocals, visuals, and results. JMO. Easier??? With all those stunning riffs he is adding? With the voice so up front and exposed in the bridge? It's challenging, to be sure. I cannot imagine we will be seeing it covered on many of the reality competition shows any time soon. Maybe you were talking about the backing band? There are some backing tracks when performing it live, but there is also an opportunity for the band to play live. Haven't heard the other stuff yet, but, it may rely more on electronics and less on guitars. Still, I am sure they will adapt it for a live tour! |
