Ryan aligns himself with the stars and makes fun of the has-beens and wannabes, that's his persona. He is starting to think Adam is in the latter category because his US promo hasn't kicked in yet. Actually, I believe it's the exact opposite. Ryan feels the shift in the air re Adam. Trespassing will, imo, sever Adam from Idol, hence sever Adam from Ryan; Adam won't be an easy grab anymore. It's an uneasy and unfamiliar territory for Ryan. Adam turned the table on Ryan this morning. He came out of this morning's interview with the upper hand in the broader scheme of things. From now on they will be on equal footing, which has never been the case. It's a shift. A good one. JMO. |

Can we get some major US promo please??? The British stuff seems so OTT gushing that I'm starting not to take them seriously :( I hear you. This is just a rollercoaster. Bleah. |

Ryan is an ass, but I at least always thought he liked Adam. So, that is a disappointment. I really hope people leave it alone, though. Angry tweets will only feed into Ryan's angle, and won't help Adam at all. Ryan likes himself. He's a toolbox. He's nothing more than a gossip whore and isn't any better than Perez or TMZ. Admittedly the older fans don't help the cause by acting like squeeing teens and fawning over Adam with words extolling him as the re-born Elvis but that's hardly representative of Adam's entir fanbase... but as is the way of the industry they will take the most negative thing and amplify it 100 times because that's what they think gets them hits. But this view, that older fans are bad, only happens to male Idol contestants. I go to probably a concert a month, from Bob Seger to Katy Perry and EVERY concert I go to has a diversified fanbase!! I never hear Gaga or Katy being criticized or having to defend that they have older fans!! |

At this point I just think Adam needs to suffer through these inane American radio interviews. I now understand this is the way to be part of the "in crowd" or whatever, and even if it's not about the music, it gains him good will from radio stations and liking from the DJs.
Now, I, on the other hand, might not want to subject myself to another American radio interview.
Bleah, whoamikiddin, I'll listen to whatever he says.

I think it might all boil down to Ryan not getting the song's premiere and also to Ryan only getting a phone interview, while Adam was actually in SF, at a station, in person! Maybe it was a big "FU" from Adam to KIIS! ;D << In which case, I totally approve!

Adam is also going to be on ALICE 97.3 in San Francisco at about 830. You can listen live, they're talking about it now. This is the one station in the area that plays BTIKM pretty often. radioalice.radio.com/ |
