@nosilvernogold: Oh apparently Ryan did play BTIKM but not for another 30min after adam was gone. Probs due to requests 1 minute ago This must have been an on-line only spin - does not show up on Yes.com. It wasn't played ON AIR. |

Crap...they cut him off in mid sentence for a commercial! Yes, but after the commercial and a Kanye West song, the DJs came back on and said: "Everyone is loving this new Adam Lambert song. We'll play it again real soon."  So it's all good. I missed the first half of the 99.7 SF interview, but it sounded great. As for the Ryan mess, I think Ryan was just pissed because he did not get the usual "first play" of the song. All of the ex-Idols usually premiere their songs on Ryan's show and Adam/RCA chose not to do that with BTIKM. It's too bad that Ryan chose to be so mean-spirited -- he always liked Adam and his interviews with Adam were usually pretty good. I'm curious as to why RCA didn't give Ryan the premiere spot this time. Lack of play on KISS-LA? Wanting to distance Adam a bit from Idol? It would be interesting to know, but of course we never will. |

Ryan likes himself. He's a toolbox. He's nothing more than a gossip whore and isn't any better than Perez or TMZ. Admittedly the older fans don't help the cause by acting like squeeing teens and fawning over Adam with words extolling him as the re-born Elvis but that's hardly representative of Adam's entir fanbase... but as is the way of the industry they will take the most negative thing and amplify it 100 times because that's what they think gets them hits. But this view, that older fans are bad, only happens to male Idol contestants. I go to probably a concert a month, from Bob Seger to Katy Perry and EVERY concert I go to has a diversified fanbase!! I never hear Gaga or Katy being criticized or having to defend that they have older fans!! I'm not saying the older fans are bad...I'm saying that they kind of bring on the ridicule themselves by acting like giggling teenagers. Adam's most vocal fans are the older ones. They are the ones sending angry tweets and responding to every negative comment online. They also do things like that interview at the GNT rambling about Adam being the second coming of Elvis. Elvis died when I was a small child so I don't remember him but I don't think it's a positive accolade for a current pop star to be heralded has the "next Elvis" As for Gaga and Katy.....do you hear older fans of Gaga or Katy talking about their private parts or oogling their goodies? I don't. I went to Katy Perry last year.. the audience was diverse but it was predominately teens and 20 somethings. When I went to Adam it was probably more like 30+ with a few teens scattered throughout. In Europe Adam's fanbase skews MUCH younger than in the U.S....that's just how it is for now. That might change with this next album. I know Kelly Clarkson's fanbase was much older until Breakaway. Ryan is a dick plain and simple. There was no reason to do what he did but based on what people are saying Adam handled it beautifully. |

When was the last time Ryan actually talked on air with a former Idol contestant? He didn't interview Cook with his last album, I know. Has he even interviewed Kelly? Ryan really gives NO support to people off the show he stars on.
